  1. Not necessarily. I’m talking options for injuries and the bench. If Markanday has gone then we are a player down, and with Hirst gone we’re a forward down. Yes he’s crap but he’s off the wage bill.
  2. Markanday, Hirst gone. Morton, Travis head gone. If we have let Markanday go we need another forward. Madness to go forward with Brereton, Gallagher and Vale. Last January same.
  3. Even if we sign o Brien, we need another forward. We’ve just let two go.
  4. Probably says we can’t rely on just a trusty own goal.
  5. Maybe waiting till the end of the game to announce.
  6. Adam Wharton and O'Brien may be interesting.
  7. Sounds like Tomasson wanted a CB and a striker too so hopefully once O'Brien is done they can do a couple of more deals. I'm very surprised we're signing a decent midfielder so it'd be nice if we could get a striker of the same quality.
  8. So a guaranteed midfield of O'Brien and Morton then.
  9. Markanday has left too.
  10. Not before he tried his best to turn him into a winger.
  11. Imagine letting two forwards go and not bringing in one. It'd be a new low.
  12. It would be weird sending Hirst back and Markanday on loan if we didn't have someone coming in, but then it's Rovers so anything is possible.
  13. Yes but unlikely let's be honest.
  14. Then we bite our collective lips, pay Forest £10m as agreed, loan him out and bank the additional £120m+.
  15. Undav and O'Brien needs to happen if we want to stay in the play off places. If we're quibbling over minimal amounts of money then it's a poor do. I imagine O'Brien will be us trying to get that promotion fee down - which is stupid. I'm sure we could afford to write off £10m as the promotion money would give us more than enough. If we don't get promoted then we don't pay it. As others have said, if promotion isn't a priority this season then why are we letting Brereton go without a fee? It makes absolutely no sense and it's terrible business. Imagine who we could have signed if we'd sold him.
  16. He’ll still miss sitters and be a passenger week after week. But… We won’t have a choice.
  17. It was four, he scored two against Boro. The others were against Brum and WBA.
  18. So one thing is clear. We’re definitely following the nonsensical Tony Mowbray model of, we don’t score enough goals, so let’s sign strikers who don’t score many goals.
  19. 1 goal in 15 for Scunthorpe tells me all I need to know.
  20. He made mistakes but was busy covering other people's backs. Defence shouldn't have to be constantly watching the mistakes of players who are out of their depth. It was a frustrating watch.
  21. He doesn't like strikers anyway.
  22. Obafemi is a weird signing for Burnley, every time I've seen him he's looked poor.
  23. A lot of deviancy in Hollywood. Now they've learned about what goes on in Burnley they won't be able to get enough.
