  1. WBA could play all night they still wouldn't score.
  2. How the feck are Burnley still winning this?
  3. WBA look bad up front. Should have scored then.
  4. Wharton, Carter, Vale, Phillips are the ones that have featured in the league so far. More by necessity than choice up to now. Although I'd be surprised if Wharton is benched. Also with squad numbers who haven't featured. Garrett, Barnes, Hilton, Eastham, Harlock, Leonard. Mola (loan), Markanday, Dolan and Morton (loan) are kids developed elsewhere. The rest are in their early twenties, a few mid twenties and one "oldy" in Ayala who is 31.
  5. They look good at the moment but they've just had two good results against Wigan and Millwall. I'd be hoping Rovers do similar with those teams. They couldn't get 3 points against Blackpool at home, was there a reason for that? (missing players, etc?) What's the injury situation like with Burnley? Everyone fit or threadbare like us? Be interesting to see if their squad has depth with all their outgoings and their new players.
  6. If he plays he'll outclass anyone else on the pitch guaranteed. The last time I saw a teenage player that self assured was Damien Duff when he made his debut in a league cup match when he absolutely destroyed Preston on his own. Maybe Phil Jones too. He plays without fear, a lot of skill and seems to be omnipresent covering every area of the pitch, he did the same against Stoke in the second half. If he keeps it up we'll be calling him God. It's all the other players I'll be worried about stepping up.
  7. The mafia? He'll shit em.
  8. He's going to them on loan apparently!
  9. Squibs are small explosives that they use in films to simulate bullet hits. So a damb squib is like saying it fizzled out rather than exploded.
  10. Why we haven't gone for Styles I'll never understand. I'd feel confident in the defence if he was in the squad.
  11. I agree but I guess for JDT this is just the start of his "project" and he'll look to strengthen further in January. Does seem a bit of a missed opportunity though and he did say he wanted 3 signings.
  12. That just sums up this forum 😄
  13. Have Rovers announced that's the end of their business for the day?
  14. He would have been perfect as an upgrade to Pickering.
  15. The fact is, historically, we only have Brereton who will score goals prolifically. That is aside from Dack, but it was a long time since he scored a lot of goals in the Championship... 2018/19. Be great if someone could step up to take the burden off BBD and be knocking them in when he isn't in the team.
  16. I think we need more goals, at the moment we're relying on Brereton staying/staying fit, Gallagher, Hirst and Vale. And Styles for fullback and midfield cover.
  17. Is Dembele a striker? I thought he was a winger.
  18. Any links to us signing another striker? I feel even with Brereton we're going to struggle for goals. Bit of a risk relying on Gallagher and Hirst to chip in.
  19. His time at Portsmouth, and how he plays on Saturday.
  20. To him it was just Wednesday. I'm saying that because he was just as good on Saturday. I think that's standard for young Adam.
  21. He'd replace Pickering, but he can play midfield. He was played fullback when Barnsley got to the play offs.
  22. In a few weeks we'll have Wharton, Wharton and Morton in the team.
  23. His Grandma's were sat next to us at the WBA game, they were told he might get some game time. They'll be chuffed now!
  24. He was brilliant when he came on on Saturday too. We wouldn't have lost against Stoke if he'd played from the start. JDT can't drop him for a more experienced player now. He's our best midfielder by a mile.
