  1. He mentioned needing more experience in an interview when Hyam was signed.
  2. Can Mola play right back? Is Dan Pike anywhere near ready?
  3. What is actually wrong with Brittain?
  4. He must be frustrated with the injuries so early in the season combined with not being able to bring in another player. I feel pretty down about it. We've shown good attacking play at times but some of the players looked knackered on Saturday. If we hadn't had those injuries we'd be doing better, even if we weren't actually playing better. The injuries to key players is really hurting us.
  5. Will Wharton, Brittain or Smodics be back?
  6. Waggot's job should have been on the backs of everyone during the transfer window to make sure JDT had enough in the squad to get us through to January without failing badly. If we do then Waggot's position needs be under scrutiny. It won't be but it should be.
  7. Maybe but I don't get that JDT doesn't care. Mowbray seemed happy to plod along and shrug. JDT seems to genuinely want to better the club.
  8. Another transfer window where our deficiencies were not fully dealt with, and there's appears to be a complete apathy towards it in the boardroom.
  9. Bottom half if we have to keep making do with a makeshift defence.
  10. I don't think we've any hope till Wharton and Brittain are back, whenever that will be. I think Wharton is back soon, hopefully against Wigan, but last I read there's no timescale given on Brittain's recovery.
  11. Philips and Carter would have still struggled. Travis would have been better in the middle yes but we've three top centre halves in this league out. Find me a team in any league that wouldn't concede goals if they lost three of their first team defenders and had Pickering at fullback. The one thing I'd question is why isn't Pike featuring when we're struggling for a fullback, is he on loan? And why the **** didn't we get a replacement for Pickering who has been targetted by every oppo manager who we've played against.
  12. It does but it's driven by necessity not design isn't it?
  13. Injuries to three first team defenders too. There’s no way we aren’t conceding goals weekly with that back line. But the club should still have invested more in the team given how many players had left. The squad was short of goals last season, and a good left back.
  14. I'm not panicking, I'm just perplexed as to how people can be positive about that performance. With a fully fit defence I don't think we'd have been beat today. I am worried about us being reliant on BBD though, as I have been since January.
  15. I'm convinced some people watched a different game, or took hallucinogenics before the match. It was a terrible performance from all concerned, and 3-2 flattered.
  16. If a fit defence is playing then we don't lose today no matter how crap we played. There's no way we'd have conceded three. Though it's still worrying we haven't signed an experienced centre forward. And Pickering is a massive weak link. In every match I've watched they've targetted that side.
  17. A bit unfair on Travis as he's a decent midfielder at that level, just not a fullback, but I'm glad to see that someone else thinks Pickering and Carter should be nowhere near the first team.
  18. Do you honestly think he's capable of replacing Wharton or Ayala?
  19. I'll judge when we have a full defense fit and playing. Travis not good enough. Carter not good enough. Pickering not good enough. Imagine if we'd signed Styles.
  20. If anyone thinks that Hirst was genuinely JDT's first choice centre forward then I've got a massive box of snake oil to sell you. It was the clubs first choice.
  21. Weird when we look so incoherent going forward.
  22. I thought the ref was blowing up for a free kick.
  23. To be honest there's not much to choose from other than Hirst and Vale. Isn't Markanday injured?
  24. I thought they were bang average, we just gave them the ball back repeatedly and let them at it. They had something we didn't, an experienced centre forward who can score.
  25. Difficult to judge JDT when he has three first team defenders out, no real strikers to call on and midfielders who play when they want. Add to that the mass exodus in pre-season, and his wish of bringing in Dembele not happening and he's a lot to sort out. Be interesting to see at which point he has enough.
