  1. He still needs to be able to play for those 4 months. Coventry fans think he's done. Signing a 37 year old is fucking bonkers whichever way you spin it. Some people were saying Danny Batth was over the hill at almost 33.
  2. So the old fella comes in as our second CB signing. Which would be a ridiculous signing if true. Wharton goes, we need to replace him with a good midfielder. We need two strikers, freshen up our attack. Get Ennis (loan) and Gallagher (Ipswich) out. Could do with a winger too. And a left back. All that with our recruitment dept, in 24 hours.
  3. The above is complete made up rubbish folks. The other poster was right. He lives at home, he loves Rovers, and he wanted a crack at getting the club promoted. His family are Rovers fans and he was living the dream. They were trying to shove him out the door at the tail end of last season and he wasn’t happy about it. Unfair to blame the lad for any of this.
  4. I was getting Mandela effect vibes so I'm glad other people are saying he's signed a contract.
  5. Kaminski going was always happening once a PL club had shown an interest. The biggest shame was the amount we got for him. My point was, Pears getting injured and having to perservere with Wahlstedt was damn bad luck. Pears isn't ideal but we wouldn't be -12 goal difference.
  6. At the moment I'd say it's 50/50. He signed the bloke that hopefully scores the goals to keep us up this season. On the other hand Wahlstedt was a massive mistake and is a big reason for our decline. I can't blame him for the striker situation as he wanted to aim higher but his hands were tied by wankys.
  7. He gets plenty of blame on here and social media. Making him the scapegoat for all of our recruitment errors isn't helpful.
  8. Anyone recommending Cooper automatically revokes their rights to criticising Broughton, or moan that we have a leaky defence on a match day.
  9. Broughton isn't perfect, but it's stuff like this that excuses the owners.
  10. Injured, Travis is on loan. We're already stretched.
  11. Wahlstedt is his major mistake. However the three strikers were all brought in for nothing. He wanted better strikers then Enny and Telly in the Summer but wasn't given the money.
  12. Selling a player for £22m whilst trying to sign an untested striker from MLS and an old bloke from Leeds is fucking bonkers.
  13. From what I've seen, Sigurdsson most definitely is not a winger, and Hedges is too slow. We need some pace.
  14. And now that money will keep the club going for 12 months.
  15. He'll be set for life so I'm happy for the lad, but on the other hand I have mixed feelings as I know for a fact he didn't want to go and wanted to get promoted with Rovers. It's such a shame a bigger club didn't come in for him.
  16. I'm not sure about Siggy, he's our second top scorer. What we need to do is stop playing him wide. In an ideal world he'd be an ideal sub for when Sammie tires.
  17. As a bonus the Palace lad is rated as a good young winger and we need some pace out wide. Looks like Southampton want him though.
  18. Iirc, before Wahlstedt started playing, our goal difference wasn't too bad. It's a shame Pears was injured forcing us to persevere.
