  1. Iirc, before Wahlstedt started playing, our goal difference wasn't too bad. It's a shame Pears was injured forcing us to persevere.
  2. A bit extra is what counts sometimes. As we saw with last seasons league table.
  3. Didn't someone say we were looking to sign two, to replace Gallagher (if he goes) and Ennis (who will be sent on loan)?
  4. He scored 15 goals in his last season for Blackpool, which was a poor team and got relegated. As a Rovers player Gallagher has managed a maximum of 9, once. He's not having a great season according to Swansea fans, yet he's their top goalscorer with 7 so far. Some of them say he doesn't seem to have settled. They want rid. He's always looked a much better player than Gallagher to me, quicker reactions, getting on the end of crosses and willing to take a crack from outside of the box. I think under JDT, and with Szmodics he'd flourish.
  5. £2m + a percentage of Gallagher's wages available. Jerry Yates? I'd say that's an upgrade and I also think he'd be better suited to JDT's system.
  6. Ali Syed... https://wikifrauds.net/alithethief.html You've got to be a total scumbag if you're worse than Venkys.
  7. I imagine that 2 year extension would come with a wage increase, to an already high wage. So not sensible considering we won't get that level of performance in the Championship week in week out. He seems to be getting ever more injury prone, and we'll never see £2m again. Obviously that comes with the caveat that we get to use the £2m and the wages saved to sign a replacement/replacements.
  8. Jerry Yates and the lad from Orlando would look to be the best we can do under the present circumstances. Well I'd hope that's the case. We won't get that much for Gallagher again.
  9. Wrexham's manager seemed a bit deluded. He forgot that Garrett (I think) and Pears helped them to a soft goal. "Then we could have scored two more before they scored..." We could have had two before Wrexham scored 🤷‍♂️ If we had a better bench we'd have scored more.
  10. That's £2m extra for Gallagher please Ipswich.
  11. Same old Rovers. 15 minutes of dominance but keeper not tested. Then we concede and give up. Who was it who gave the ball away cheaply for their goal?
  12. I'll applaud Broughton if he can get £2m for Gallagher.
  13. I remember a Chelsea fan laughing when we signed Le Saux. “He’s facking awful.”
  14. No he really is. He's one of those hypocrite superfans who won’t criticise anything about the club but then says things like it’s decaying and no one would ever want to buy it.
  15. Since when has anything they've done made any sense? They wanted to sell him before the end of last season, with a view to a Summer sale. He rejected it on the grounds that he loves Rovers and wants to develop here. They then gave him a longer contract. Presumably if they couldn't cash in they wanted to tie him down. Palace come in in January and suprise everyone with a mega offer, they turn it down. Presumably because the penny has dropped that he's worth more than they originally thought so they are trying to squeeze every last penny out of them. If we've learned anything from them they are stupid and make silly decisions. Time will tell whether this is one of them. One thing that you aren't considering here is that in the corridors of power they aren't all on the same page.
  16. And say it’s a decaying club, but pray they stay. It got even more ridiculous and before I’d finished my reply I was doubting he was even a Rovers fan.
  17. I did but then he replied to someone else, and after reading it I realised he was a lost cause. So I deleted my reply. There are others with similar views but without the antagonism who I’d happily debate it with. Especially younger fans who may not know or remember when the club was ran properly. It seems to be the older fans who are defending Venkys.
  18. I’ve just had to block someone on Facebook. I was going to comment then quickly realised there was nothing separating them from the average Burnley fan. He’s replied several times to exasperated fans and he’s still going on. He calls it a decaying club then says pray they stay.
  19. I’m beginning to believe the rumours that they won’t sell because they don’t want anyone to see behind the curtain.
  20. I’ll be fair, they seem to be holding out for extra now, but that’s only after they’ve seen what PL clubs value him at.
  21. They were pushing him to go last season but he dug his heels in. He wanted to stay. Waggott wants to sell. He’s 19, has his family close and living his dream. However the money being offered for him to disappear to a far away land (aka Palace) is madness. If Rovers do sell for £20m it’s not because Waggott or the club held out. Thank Adam for that as he would have sold for a lot less in Summer.
  22. Some think that JDT has "sold" all the players that have gone out and been responsible for all the signings, so this wouldn't surprise me. I saw a bloke dissing him for signing Telalovic last week, saying this is the only type of player he can attract.
