On the 75th minute of a game you're hanging onto it's quite simple though. Gallagher was a weak link so considering who was left on the bench put Butterworth on for Gallagher and Edun for Rothwell who looked tired. Keep Dolan on, but bring Khadra on if you must. Keep it simple and try to hang onto that point while counter attacking. Certainly don't put two players on who have been very poor in previous games. Give them a run out when we're 5-1 up, not when we're clinging onto 2-2 away from home.

One thing to note, Clarkson is a teenager, Mowbray shouldn't be throwing him into high pressure situations like that expecting him to deliver. Poveda is 21 (22 in February) and should be a lot better than that in the Championship. They could improve but I can't see either of them featuring for their parent clubs in the future.

Well I'm certainly not going to bow to yours with some of your past statements and being the original resident contrarian. Magloire has never convinced. Edun has been purchased, I would hope, because he's a decent defender. But I imagine you thought that Clarkson and Poveda were the perfect substitutes for tonights game, Mowbray did great and was unlucky, ra ra ra.

Did you not watch the game? The depth to the squad was plain to see. Mowbray's tinkering was plain to see. The loanee quality was plain to see. Last season we had the second top scorer and finished 15th. Goals have never been the problem.

Gallagher off yes, but Dolan should have been kept on as there's always a chance he'll cause problems. Especially considering the inclusion of Poveda and Clarkson which made ball retention next to impossible. Their third goal was from Clarkson losing it in their half.

Always up against it tonight with Lenihan out, then Nyambe, then Rothwell... It looks like Tony's brain was out too. Why bring Poveda and Clarkson on in such a tough game? Some good performances tonight and a shame that those players who put such a shift in came away with nothing. Let's hope Lenihan, Nyambe and Rothwell are back for weekend. I've got a terrible feeling that like last season we're going to have one of the league's top scorers and Tony is going to be the weak link yet again.

You don't bring on two players that have struggled previously when we're just hanging in there. Mowbray has taken a massive suicide dive here. Mowbray's subs have been great for Huddersfield tonight. Same as last year and year before that, we'll look back on matches like this and Luton and realise how many points silly decisions have lost us.
