I think I read somewhere that he just wanted to keep the group together. I don’t think he kept them around to play. I know some of you will hate that and I understand why. However, I think it shows the class of the man to want to keep the squad together until the end of the season. I could imagine if some players had left before the conclusion of the season, it could adversely affect squad morale. Better to keep the group together and then say farewell properly. That’s my understanding of the situation.

As some many others have pointed out, there are bargains and deals to be made but we have spaffed our money on two duds. BB will never come good and SG wasn’t good the first time he was here. Clueless from the management. I hope there is another CB being brought in today but I’m not hearing anything from my usual source. I am am hearing about the Cunningham deal and another but I cannot say who.
