  1. Of course not , they would have to cut down the palm trees and get rid of the sauce bottles, not going to happen Think their highest attendance in the last few years was around 12 thousand and capacity is 20 odd thousand. Apparently it was built like that so it offered views of the Brisbane water estuary.
  2. The FFA , organisation and League structure are pretty tinpot (franchise /salary cap model) but the football seems to have improved in the few years I've been over here. As CCM got a mention earlier , where else in the world can you see giant sauce bottles filling one end of the ground
  3. Think as part of a bigger re-build he could do a job (not seen him play since he left the A league though), but he apparently only signed a 1 year deal a Motherwell, and there are three clubs linked to him in the article, sounds to me like his agent putting his availability out there or pushing for a new or improved contract.
  4. Seen him a few times when he played in the A league, was probably one of the better players in the Wellington Phoenix side although quite young at the time , certainly didn't seem a attacking threat but a steady defensive type midfielder who likes to get stuck in and to pass the ball about. Would class A league as mid to lower championship / top of league 1 standard overall so read into that what you will. An upgrade on Smallwood ? Possibly if he still the same player he was at WP
  5. Looks like it as been removed , here what a google search brings up as a preview of the page (below) , link goes to a 404 error. Story is also on the Liverpool Echo website but wont link to it as its a pop up ad fest of a site, but seems he has been signed as cover for the U18's squad due to an injury to their main keeper. Was a sub for their game yesterday Ben Winterbottom - Goalkeeper - Profiles - Blackburn Rovers https://www.rovers.co.uk/teams/academy/profiles/goalkeeper/ben-winterbottom/ Jan 15, 2018 - Preston-born, Ben has been with Rovers for a number of years and makes the step up become a first year Academy scholar. Having earned his contract through the quality that he has shown throughout his time at the club, he'll be eager to continue that improvement as he moves up to
  6. A M&S choccy biscuit, a shrug of the shoulders , a CM or CF stuck out wide and we go again next season.
  7. Cheer up you miserable sods, 21 points to play for and only 12 behind the final play off spot - Believe!
  8. Just re-watched that bit on slow mo, was definitely rolling in, but the player who tapped it on looked onside to me when the initial shot went forward, so definitely a lucky break for us.
  9. We believe you Anyway for those who don't have a weekly subscription to Ok magazine unlike JH Rover, here is the the online version of the "article" https://www.ok.co.uk/celebrity-news/1564745/olivia-attwood-bradley-dack-love-island-aftercare-adhd-itv
  10. The same bloke that got offered Rovers by the Barnet puppet master . Wonder if there are any football investment funds helping Bassini out with financing .
  11. A BRFCS love story in the making, future podcast material @Herbie6590 ?
  12. That was covered in part of the MCMC 1875 post that you quoted that said "This is of their own making" Every decision since November 2010 is on their heads obviously with a little help from their just like a family members. But still they had the final say, apparently. So keeping the mess they created afloat is the least they can do. Nearly a decade later, quarter of a billion for a 3rd division runner up trophy, and some worldwide publicity for being monumental bellends , Bargain!
  13. Of course not, it was Rosie the Dog up to its old tricks again
  14. No, he still has to serve eight games .
  15. Sounds like he thinks Rothwell has gone backwards from the time we signed him after chasing him for so long? Joe was a thorn in our side. He was picking the ball up and travelling with it. He travels with the ball very well and is a good athlete. He’s the type I like to add to the team. “He’s almost an inverted winger and if there are times where we are defending deep then we know Joe can carry the ball 50 or 60 yards and do it pretty quickly." “He’s a young player with lots of development in him and one who will improve as time goes on. I’m conscious that when we sign young players like Joe Rothwell that there’s not too much of a burden put on them," Tony added. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/june/a-player-weve-been-chasing-for-a-while/
