Just got around to listening to this , quite poignant as one of the lads in our group that used to travel to games together during the Mackay era passed away this week. Was a great and exciting time to be following Rovers and a peak period at the time, so close but always the belief next year would be our year. One thing that struck me is Don sounds a lot younger than his age, surprised when I looked it up that he is 78. A very enjoyable listen and thanks to all involved for making it happen. A great archive piece for future generations.

They should have insisted that City players travelled there and back on a megabus or similar ,if they were going to be responsible for City's travelling expenses. 18 quid return x maybe 25 = 450 , a saving of 600 quid there.

If only we could pick up a young striker that bangs in 20 + goals in the Championship for just 2 million. (33 goals in 103 appearances for Birmingham). Seems the key to him hitting form this season is him being played regularly in the previous two. Be interesting to see if he can do it next season Don't think the interview comes across as bitter, as somebody else mentioned he was probably asked about him by the reporter on the spot so to speak and just gave his honest opinion.

Myspace was awash at the time with thoughts and prayers for people caught up in the crisis Luckily with the new B&Q across the road , timber and tools were available to build shelters and the asda cafe was still open to see out the unprecedented event in Blackburn's history
