  1. Gallagher contract extension is easier to take when the teams doing well. Would it be so popular if we were struggling near the bottom and we were desperate for fire power?
  2. I got a ULCI in tech drawing. 🙂
  3. I suspect you’ve been watching Atherton Nasser Keys discussing English cricket on sky? Anyway, you mention Michael Atherton. He IS a very intelligent man. Here’s a times column he’s written in the Times. It’s very interesting if you’re a cricket fan. Like you say, the ECB should use him in some capacity. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/f204e814-6969-11ec-98df-0bb0132add1b?shareToken=d84504dfc1d23d2eb6e3f1ff36b0f0f1#
  4. Anyone mentioned the most important point about rovers form? 17 points ahead of North End 👍👏👌
  5. Because if there’s a flaw in your technique, there’s a flaw. You won’t get away with it at the top level. The opposition will expose it.
  6. Then maybe the coaching is also big problem and has been for a long time - as in that link I posted?
  7. On top of that, here’s an excellent, thought provoking article that puts the blame primarily on coaches. https://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/120396/englands-test-batting-at-rock-bottom-with-deep-rooted-issues
  8. Cricket is doing what football has been doing since the emergence of Sky, it’s following the money. There’s far more money in the one day games and that’s the big draw. Who is going to be brave enough and take the game against that? I fear, nobody. The counties and test cricket will not vote to deny themselves those one day receipts.
  9. So, we set the replay date and Hull will have a fully fit squad, while rovers are ravaged by Covid but still above the required minimum numbers to force the game to be played. Whats the chances of that?
  10. Hull offer an apology. Thats nowhere near enough. Those travelling fans deserve proper compensation at the very least.
  11. I feel for you. Football doesn’t deserve you.
  12. I have good news. tomorrow the sun will have started it’s journey back towards the northern hemisphere. 😀 hooray!
  13. You’ll be missed Bumble.
  14. Fabulous stuff this is. Mowbrays analysis of this is spot on. “Theyve clicked” 👍
  15. Was up as they went in for lunch. Everything was great. No wickets lost and the Aussie bowlers pretty tame according to the BBC. Bloody hell, went back to bed, got up and they were all out. Couldn’t believe it. Today was the day England lost the ashes series.
  16. England 17/2. Both openers gone. Embarassing. Not unexpected but still embarassing.
  17. Got to say I didn’t see this coming. Beginning of season, very pessimistic about all things Rovers. What the players are producing now is fantastic. 👍👏
  18. I’ve only seen highlights and obviously seen the scorecards, but there’s not much to give hope for the next game. At this point it’s looking very bleak. Next game is huge.
  19. The most important result of the whole season 😁 Very happy den.
