I would say that if the employee HAD stole £2000 you were right to sack him. If you stole £20 you were wrong to do that. One action had no bearing on the other.

I don’t get that at all. We are not talking about political parties here. There are two seperate accusations here. One against Rafiq for his alleged behaviour and one against Yorkshire ccc’s non actions at a report of racism against Rafiq. For me, Rafiq’s “credibility” doesn’t come into either case. When you question someone’s credibility, you’re questioning his honesty. Is that what you’re doing?
-
You keep referring to Rafiq’s credibility OJF. Im not quite sure what you’re trying to prove by that. Are you saying that his claims of being the recipient of racist behaviour are in question, are you saying that he’s partly responsible for the alleged treatment he got because of some of his own social media posts - or are you saying something else?
-
Not sure that helps at all. Please don’t waste your time, it’s very likely at my end.

iPad air2 safari. Other sites haven’t changed text size. If it’s only happening to me then it’s obviously something on my system, but As far as I know I haven’t changed any settings at all on my iPad. edit it hasn’t changed on my iPhone, so I guess the problem is at my end? Sorry to mess you about chaps.
-
He’s still in the side though, just not captain.
-
Not very nice! Doubt anyone would defend him over that. It still has no bearing on his recent allegations though. Rafiq’s credibility was fairly irrelevant at that time. Yorkshire CCC’s credibility was shattered when a report of racism within the club was put into the “just banter” file.

Didn’t see the Abrahams tweet

Hypocrite would have been included if I thought that Tory still had those views.
-
Whether his credibility has been damaged or not is down to the individual listening to his side of the story. His apology seems genuine on the face of it, so I won’t hold that against him now. I don’t know what Joe Root has said either so can’t judge that one. However, his version of the things that were said to him seem very plausible in my opinion.
-
It makes no difference to what happened to him though.

Maybe the owners have simply come to the conclusion that they can’t make this work and now want out. Maybe they aren’t prepared to to do any more than the absolute minimum financially. The current situation compares with the trusts actions when they wanted out. They cut right back on the cash they were prepared to put in. It’s what any business would do when selling a business. If they do look to sell, the STC comes right back into play. What would happen there?
-
They are, you’re right. Tens of tens of millions, probably a hundred million+. I still don’t understand why. Why would anyone do that, yet do nothing apart from barely keep it afloat? Maybe they are madly in love with Blackburn Rovers Football Club and get a lot out of owning it. But then you wonder why they stand and watch everything about it going down the pan. Its got me beat.

Who hoo! 2 down.

Yes!

166 do? Hard to predict this one. Every batsman found it hard to time the ball. England need to start well and slowly build the required rate.

Oops Change bat for bowl and keep the rest the same.😄

NZ win toss and bat first, which makes them favourites here IMO. Not impressed with selection of Billings.

Shane Warnes reaction here cracked me up!

I wouldn’t say the decline is being deliberately administered Tbh. Look, when Venkys came in 11 years ago, Jerome Anderson and probably the trustees had persuaded them that the way forward for BRFC was to sell off or pay off all of their first team squad and move forwards by developing their own youngsters. It was obvious what they were doing. There were varying viewpoints between the fans over that plan. Many, and I would guess they were mainly the older fans ( not all admittedly) saw huge danger in that because they had seen it all before. There were also many who went along with the idea. They accepted the argument that that was the way to go. Some, many fans are so “into” Rovers, so committed to rovers that they find it hard to criticise the club whatever they do. I get that, I was there at one time, in fact for a long time. However, JA and Venkys plan has been a disaster. Whereas the trustees were putting £3m/yr into the club - a mid table PL club, they’re now putting £20m into a lower championship club. My point is, there were, and are, many fans who don’t really question anything the club does. In one way that’s fantastic. In another, it’s not. We can all see now what’s happened under Venkys regime. What Mowbray is telling the fans now is ….. DONT QUESTION WHAT I OR THE OWNERS ARE DOING BECAUSE THERES NO BETTER MANAGER AND THERES NO BETTER WAY. That’s about it. Don’t accept everything they tell you. (Not you personally Ulrich).
