What a terrible line up. -
Sutton or Newell. Who was better?
den replied to Nuttall is lost's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Newell was a quality front man. He could hold the ball up, run the flanks, bring others into the game and score some cracking goals. Scored one of the fastest ever Champions league hat trick for Rovers against Rosenberg. Sutton could do that as well, but was quite a bit more mobile than Newell. Sutton was the better of two top players. -

I have to disagree here Tyrone. From what I’ve seen of Rovers, they’ve been running their socks off. Workrate isn’t the problem. -
Not very long back PNE were 17 points behind us☹️

“They’ve just clicked”. I don’t think he knew why we suddenly started winning games and I don’t think he knows how to get us winning again. I don’t think he knows very much to be honest.

I’ll tell you what. Here we are sitting in 4th place having our best season for years, but the warning signs are very much there for me. The danger signs for next season are already staring us in the face. The club should take notice. -
What’s a “main striker”? Every team plays - or tries to play - with goalscorers. We started the season with none but got lucky when Brereton stepped up. Then he got injured and here we are. Not one first team goalscorer to be seen anywhere. Just bad luck?

Were Obefemi and Maja the only players available in January? Did nobody else sign anybody because they couldn’t get them?

Highest league position for years, a little ambition in January would have gone some way to boosting that - and the club did nothing. Here we are. Don’t blame the lads out there, they’re absolutely running their socks off. Blame the management. -

Just watched “Warne in a million” on sky sports. It was made before his death but really is worth watching.

and not that long ago we were fully in charge of the second promotion spot. That transfer window really costing us. -
I just thought he was the top man for cricket, whatever he did I thought he was fantastic.

Aged 52. One of crickets greatest ever. RIP Warney, loved watching you.

Died today after suspected heart attack

After our recent run - and only around two and a half days after what could have been a demoralising defeat at Sheffield, taking into account the injuries as well I thought Rovers were tremendous. To have the spirit they showed from the first minute to the last was probably more than we could have expected. Everybody played their part but Dolan and Kedra never gave QPR’s back four a breather. They chased everything while their defending from the front meant QPR never really got control of the game. Defensively the three at the back won everything in the air and didn’t miss much on the floor either. My MOTM was Dolan. Superb today.
