  1. Have YCCC not made a statement recently?
  2. Yes, I agree. I’ve been critical of those fans as well, but I’ll say this on their behalf (not that it’s really my business) - rovers and Venkys have driven the message home to all of us over ten years that there’s nothing we can do to change anything. The owners are totally deaf to any criticism. Some fans are as angry as hell, some just turn a deaf ear to it and just want to watch them on a Saturday afternoon. my main point is a simple one really. If nothing changes, the club will go to the wall. What’s happening with finances, with attendances just isn’t viable. and there’s no sign of anything changing. Nothing at all.
  3. As others have said, when we went down to 10 the formation appeared to be a kind of 4-2-3. I could be wrong about that but It was so fluid it was difficult to say for sure. Surely, surely you have to go to a rigid 4-4-1 and be resolute behind the ball? The manager is responsible for that, nobody else. It’s still so frustrating looking back at that shambolic “performance”
  4. It’s about time EVERY fan stood back and realised what’s going on here. losing millions every year, owners trying to sell STC off for housing, gates at their lowest for thirty years, unable to offer the better players new contracts etc, etc - and a manager who’s been here 5 years and just seen his team lose 0-7 at home just shrugging it off as a bad night and we have owners who have no idea what to do about it. I don’t think this is too big of a reaction. The club is in a mess from top to bottom. It’s not good enough at any level. If nothing changes, rovers will go to the wall.
  5. These commentators being far too kind on rovers.
  6. Maybe 0-6 might do us well in the short term?
  7. I’m looking for a shape, a game plan or any kind of plan. Can’t see anything but sheer ineptitude. 0-3.
  8. Pathetic play from Van Hecke. He’s not very good is he!
  9. That side has enough experience to win this game. Its Fulham we’re playing not Man City. Anything less than a win shouldn’t be good enough for any ambitious manager.
  10. I’ve said it before, but I don’t think there’s a weakness in this England team. we should make the most of watching these lads. Once this side breaks up it could be a long time before we see their likes again.
  11. For us to know the facts about his transfer dealings we would have to know a heck of a lot more than you or I do Gav. We would have to know every signing on fee, every agents fee, every contract detail of every player brought into the club, or released from the club for the last 5 years. I doubt very much that it’s a positive figure seeing that Venkys have had to put in around £100m in that time.
  12. So you’re happy with the last 5 years Gav? Fans walking away, terrible winless runs, lower league finishes and conceding goals like never before?
  13. There is a difference Rev. 1) Venkys have removed the STC completely from their BRFC company and placed it in a separate company. 2) we have no idea if they would include the STC in the sale of the football club. Until and unless we know that to be true, the doubts and mistrust will continue. 3) what the club were to tell the trust or FF would be totally worthless anyway in the event of a sale. Isnt that the crux of the problem?
  14. Means nothing. Venkys own the club, they can do whatever they want with that money. We would likely never know. Like @arbitro, I don’t trust them. With good reason.
  15. I think moving a piece of prime building land owned by BRFC away from the club and onto a separate business shortly after trying to sell it off for cash reeks of something very distasteful. I readily accept that I know nothing about business and accounting practices Rev, so there’s no point in asking me about those things.
  16. I don’t know. I don’t even know whether that money has actually transferred into the clubs account. Again I’m thinking out loud because I don’t believe this has anything to do with FFP.
  17. Because they would sell it separately to the club? The club on its own would be worthless even with Brockhall.
  18. Why would it? If/when Venkys leave, they could possibly want to recoup every penny they could. That piece of land is prime land with planning permission and would bring a lot of money.
  19. Not having that. Its just a coincidence that it’s the same STC they tried to sell off for housing around the same time? What follows - sell themselves the other half next season, the ground the season after? Sorry, not for me.
  20. They can only sell the STC once. That’s not a plan.
