  1. 166 do? Hard to predict this one. Every batsman found it hard to time the ball. England need to start well and slowly build the required rate.
  2. Oops Change bat for bowl and keep the rest the same.😄
  3. NZ win toss and bat first, which makes them favourites here IMO. Not impressed with selection of Billings.
  4. Shane Warnes reaction here cracked me up!
  5. I wouldn’t say the decline is being deliberately administered Tbh. Look, when Venkys came in 11 years ago, Jerome Anderson and probably the trustees had persuaded them that the way forward for BRFC was to sell off or pay off all of their first team squad and move forwards by developing their own youngsters. It was obvious what they were doing. There were varying viewpoints between the fans over that plan. Many, and I would guess they were mainly the older fans ( not all admittedly) saw huge danger in that because they had seen it all before. There were also many who went along with the idea. They accepted the argument that that was the way to go. Some, many fans are so “into” Rovers, so committed to rovers that they find it hard to criticise the club whatever they do. I get that, I was there at one time, in fact for a long time. However, JA and Venkys plan has been a disaster. Whereas the trustees were putting £3m/yr into the club - a mid table PL club, they’re now putting £20m into a lower championship club. My point is, there were, and are, many fans who don’t really question anything the club does. In one way that’s fantastic. In another, it’s not. We can all see now what’s happened under Venkys regime. What Mowbray is telling the fans now is ….. DONT QUESTION WHAT I OR THE OWNERS ARE DOING BECAUSE THERES NO BETTER MANAGER AND THERES NO BETTER WAY. That’s about it. Don’t accept everything they tell you. (Not you personally Ulrich).
  6. The only thing I can say is, if you take a snapshot at any given point in time you can make an argument for anything. People should take a few steps backwards and look at the direction the club has taken for ten years now, then ask yourself what’s happening within the ownership and the top people at the club to change that direction?
  7. 😊 yeah, rubbish title. ive never seen that before, pretty impressive.
  8. Gav!!! You’re posting and you’ve not read his comments?
  9. Before the Fulham game, he said on sky that fans on social media would be criticising him if Mitrovic scored after he said he had no plans for him. Hes VERY aware of social media.
  10. I know for a fact that when he was happily watching boro they certainly didn’t lose to a record 0-7 home defeat.
  11. He doesn’t help himself, does he? referring to fans as “background noise” is simply saying that he doesn’t give a damn what they think - and then telling the background noise that they’re not going to get anyone better than him is, well, just sticking his fingers up to them. Ive never heard this kind of thing from a rovers manager before. It defies belief. In a pre Venkys world the man would have been dragged over the coals for that, if not moved on. But he knows he’s safe. A mediocre manager such as him being free to talk that way is just further proof of how things have to change.
  12. Talking Yorkshire… a friend of mine watched Yorkshire as a young lad. He was at headingley when Fred Truman walked past. “Can I have your autograph please Fred”. Fred’s reply to my mate Chris - Fuck off!
  13. Have YCCC not made a statement recently?
  14. Yes, I agree. I’ve been critical of those fans as well, but I’ll say this on their behalf (not that it’s really my business) - rovers and Venkys have driven the message home to all of us over ten years that there’s nothing we can do to change anything. The owners are totally deaf to any criticism. Some fans are as angry as hell, some just turn a deaf ear to it and just want to watch them on a Saturday afternoon. my main point is a simple one really. If nothing changes, the club will go to the wall. What’s happening with finances, with attendances just isn’t viable. and there’s no sign of anything changing. Nothing at all.
  15. As others have said, when we went down to 10 the formation appeared to be a kind of 4-2-3. I could be wrong about that but It was so fluid it was difficult to say for sure. Surely, surely you have to go to a rigid 4-4-1 and be resolute behind the ball? The manager is responsible for that, nobody else. It’s still so frustrating looking back at that shambolic “performance”
  16. It’s about time EVERY fan stood back and realised what’s going on here. losing millions every year, owners trying to sell STC off for housing, gates at their lowest for thirty years, unable to offer the better players new contracts etc, etc - and a manager who’s been here 5 years and just seen his team lose 0-7 at home just shrugging it off as a bad night and we have owners who have no idea what to do about it. I don’t think this is too big of a reaction. The club is in a mess from top to bottom. It’s not good enough at any level. If nothing changes, rovers will go to the wall.
  17. These commentators being far too kind on rovers.
  18. Maybe 0-6 might do us well in the short term?
