It could well mean good riddance to many an English club as well - including rovers. Sky money would virtually disappear for a lot of clubs. Income would be close to zero. we would have to pray that Venkys stayed and propped us up. -
I met @bob fleming once. He ignored me when I spoke to him. I thought that was his real name🙂

Rovers v Derby - 6pm, Friday 16th

Who cares? Winning, losing is all the same. -
Did you have to oldjamfan?

Just a reminder that it’s live on YouTube.

How do Man City manage to improve their youngsters while winning all those games? Maybe it helps the likes of Foden playing in an ambitious, successful, winning team and club.
-
If Mowbray truly want to develop players - and I’ve no doubt he does - then the best way to do that is by playing them in a winning team isn’t it? It’s not easy to develop anyone when they’re on the losing side week in, week out. Sorry Tony, but using the idea of developing players ahead of winning games is ridiculous. You do both, don’t you? You seem to be using player development as an ax use for poor results. As for the total dumbing down of supporters expectations from both Waggott and Mowbray, well it’s obvious that they don’t want to be judged against anyone or anything successful. Especially in the eyes of the owners.

What a different club we’d have been if they’d tapped into Williams and Finns experience and knowledge of the club. It’s the biggest mistake they made - after the decision to listen to Anderson.
-
Hmmm, yeah Arbitro. I much preferred the days when all the talk was about the players - how brilliant they were, how poor they’d been. Nowadays, with Rovers, it’s anything but. It’s about the owners, the manager. They dominate discussion and none of it is in a good way. That’s for them, between themselves, to ask why and do something about it. While things are this way, success on the field will be nigh impossible.

He says today that the other forwards “must” look towards achieving Armstrong’s finishing standards. Easy this management game isn’t it. Just tell them they must score more. Might as well tell me I must become a Premier League player.

A lot of twitterers saying “I accept that it’s time for Mowbray to go, but those that have been shouting for that for ages were well out of order. They’re nasty people and not real fans” In other words, “they were right and I was wrong, but there’s no way I’m admitting that”. Its astonishing how blooming naieve they are.

Brockhall STC - planning permission application ?

Dead right CLB. All I did was lend the use of my name. The letter and ideas were completely down to Rev. -

My thoughts are with Tony. He now has to continue the depressing task of walking between two sites. -
Reminds me of when Athers was run out on 99 for England. Tragic, for both of them.

Thought you would be. As Arbitro said, your letter would have played its part. Well done Simon. -

Well done to whoever made this decision. Hopefully there’s been a rethink of the people behind the decision to sell off a large part of it in the first place. -

I think what he’s saying, or trying to say is that if you concentrate first and foremost on performances, the results will follow. Doing it the other way round won’t work He’s saying we are playing really well and we are not far off getting the results to match. Thing is Tony, you’ve had over four years and look at what’s actually happening on the pitch. Yes, some nice passing out from the back and at times good movement. We never, ever look like scoring or winning a game though. You have got this particular approach very badly wrong - and this squad - the squad you’ve built over four years - don’t have it in them to change anything. It’s time to completely rebuild IMO, starting with a new manager, because we’re not as close to being successful and challenging the top six as you think we are. Time to get someone else in with fresh ideas about how to win games and challenge for the play offs.

It was from a quote that you quoted. It showed up under your name. Sorry about that.

Yeah, right. Nowadays, in Mowbrays world results shouldn’t matter to the owners or the manager. Would that be because he can’t get results? Hes turned into a wind up merchant of Kean proportions. and while I’m at it, - all this talk from him lately about fans at Ewood expecting too much. Fans at Rovers have been spoilt with the PL days he’s saying quite often now. Well, yes, we were spoilt. Just so you know Tony a lot of those fans have been around Ewood Park for a long, long time. Some of them 70 years +. They’ve seen far more football than you have, they’ve seen a hell of a lot of managers come and go in that time. They know a good manager and they know a bad manager. They also know a bullshitter when they see one. Youre currently falling into one of the worst managers and biggest bullshitters they’ve seen.

That’s an excellent article from Sharpe and the LT, both of whom have been criticised by me and a lot of other fans on here. If Venkys read these articles, it spells out exactly what the situation is. The only thing it doesn’t say, is that the situation whereby nobody at the club seems to appreciate what’s happening here, should tell them that the problems run deeper than the manager. Surely it’s the job of the CEO to keep the club focussed on the ultimate goal of getting out of this league via the top end. It’s his job to be proactive on the owners behalf - and from here he looks to be failing badly. I doubt very much that the owners read these threads, but if they do then take a look at the bigger picture.
