  1. That’s what adds “spice”* to this case. *probably the wrong word.
  2. I find this kind of thing quite riveting. Watching how cases are argued in court in real life situations is so interesting and educational. I saw the prosecution set out their case and part of the defendants case being set out before sky decided we should be watching Boris Johnson instead. That wouldn’t be my choice. Theres so much unknown about the actual facts of what happened on that day along with Floyds drug use and heart problems Also, it shouldn’t be forgotten that the defence doesn’t have to prove anything. They just need to put doubt into the jurors minds.
  3. Their batsmen might struggle against swing though. They usually do.
  4. I was referring to the Coventry three Tomphil. ive amended my post.
  5. Just more dumbing down of the club that Jack Walker left us. Im sure the Coventry three hate what he did here. They obviously hate anyone with ambition for the club, - anyone who thinks we can do better than what they offer.
  6. Huge target but this is absolute carnage from England and Ben Stokes.
  7. 22 off his latest over of bowling in the slot to Pant.
  8. I’m still trying to figure what Tom Curran brings to an international one day team.
  9. The best way to oppose this, the most effective way to oppose it would be for a sizeable petition from rovers fans to be handed in to the club with the publicity to back it up. I wish the residents well but fear the only way they will stop it is by opposing it on solid planning grounds which might be very difficult to do. A petition with thousands of rovers fans names on it might make them think again.
  10. It was very moving. Paul Stewart in particular has been hit so hard by it, it’s awful watching it.
  11. Armstrong has to get up and down, but Rhodes doesn’t? Rhodes goals earn points but Arma’s don’t? Truth is a team will win more games when all 11 contribute with hard work and technique, than when only 10 do it.
  12. 🙂 You’re right of course Stuart. A Centre forward HAS to contribute to the team game, he has to play his part in the overall team performance. If he can’t do that he won’t succeed in today’s game. Im sure I used to argue that with you - and you used to say a centre forward only needs to score goals - and where would the goals come from without him?
  13. They have someone who can make decisions? Just makes our set up even more exasperating.
  14. I think some people are getting the wrong end of what I’m saying about our style of play. All I’m trying say is that some of the passing and movement is technically very good and I stand by that. It is good to see a rovers team try to play the passing game from the back. There’s enough criticism from the fans when we’re playing long ball after long ball. This is turgid stuff though. We are stereotyped, nothing changes from one minute, to one game, to one week. It’s hopeless stuff I agree. Nor do I believe Mowbray can develop us beyond where it’s at now. Hope that clears things up a bit.
  15. Cowards football? Not sure about that. TBH some of the passing and movement is excellent, but as everyone knows Mowbray has changed to that style of play - but doesn’t know, or hasn’t built a squad - that can turn that into winning football. His comments in the press suggest that he’s just hoping things will change. To him there’s not much wrong. 90% of it is good, which it might be, but can he turn this squad, with this current way of playing, into a team that can score much more freely? For me that’s easy - No, he can’t. Could he replace the players we lose over the closed season, continue with this style, add some goal scoring threat on top and develop it into a successful team? Again, no I don’t think he could. I can’t see how he can succeed. I don’t think he has the answers.
  16. I’ve also been saying we are a club without a genuine centre forward on the books.
  17. It’s also noticeable that many of the Rovers fans on Twitter who used to take the piss out of those fans who wanted Mowbray out, have now quietly changed tack. They are mostly fed up with the football and quickly falling out of love with the club. Anyone listening Rovers?
  18. "I hear every week from other managers how good our team is, but generally that is on the back of a 1-0 defeat.” TM thinks we’re playing really well, that’s obvious. That’s a big problem for him, for the players and for us. Losing football isn’t good football. Someone needs a big rethink here.
  19. You could say, if you’re not worried about scoring goals, this is really good.
  20. Who’s the worst team then - us or them?
  21. Team of midgets. Should take them on at limbo dancing.
  22. Apart from Armstrong, who else even resembles a goal scorer?
  23. How long before they realise we have nothing up front and decide to have a go themselves?
