I think it’s much more basic Arbitro. We started the season using the long ball over the top for Brereton to use his strength and pace. Teams eventually saw that if they just defended deeper, we had nothing else to offer. That’s basically what every team has been doing for months now and we just don’t have any players capable of breaking teams down. Its a serious situation because it needs a complete rebuild of the entire squad. I doubt any manager could get the current squad suddenly tearing defences apart.

It’s being built just over a mile from central Leyland. If you come out of Leyland along Stanifield lane to the biggish roundabout where you would ge left towards the tip and entrance to the Leyland asslebly plant, it’s just off that roundabout. I think it’s good that Lancs are looking to branch out into other areas of Lancs, but to be honest I expect very few senior mens games to be played there, although Lancs do say they will play some senior games there. For starters I don’t think there are currently any plans to build stands there, although that could change. They will build “natural sloping areas” for viewing.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned, but Lancashire are building a “second home” in Leyland. It will be a new all year round development which will host a number of mens and womens matches every year. comprising two pitches it will be a fully equipped training facility and will become a centre of excellence for womens cricket. Its all part of Lancs plans to expand into communities and encouraging youngsters to take up the game. Work will start this year and finished by 2024.

Their concern- as is my concern - is that top batsmen could destroy him. Like you say, he does get some action on the ball and the only way to find out if he’s up to it is play him. If they do play then give him a few games. Give him a proper chance,

I’m talking about the players over the season. These lads are what they are. This isn’t down to them. It’s down to the guy who assembled and managed them.

The level of football at the city/ pool game today was at a level unseen in this country. City are so good, they truly are frightening opponents. Even though they are flaunting the FFP rules to a massive extent.

That’s Mowbray though, a manager who I don’t ever recall setting out his ambitions for where he wants to take the club, while only ever belittling any fan who “dare” criticise him or the teams performances. You seem to be doing your best to defend Mowbray’s record as rovers manager Gav. I honestly don’t know why. 5 years now and this has been his best, yet unless something happens now to leave us all dumbfounded, it’s ending in a massive disappointment. Why would any fan want to continue with him in charge next season? What do you honestly think next season holds and what have you seen to make you believe he’s the best man to get us promotion?

I don’t know Gav. Bumble’s earned the opportunity to say what he wants to say in my opinion. It just sounds to me that the removal of the other long term sky pundits has rattled him. It was a better commentary box with those guys IMO.
