Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

If that’s true and it might be, nobody told JDT. If nobody told JDT, we have a problem. -

Someone mention relegation 😂 I suggest the club takes that threat seriously. We finished last season in relegation form, then saw a host of players decent players leave who we know were of championship standard, who we knew could perform in that league. Maybe they weren’t PL standard maybe they weren’t top championship level, but they weren’t out of their depth at any point. Replacements so far consist of two division one players. Continue down that route and division one football is a certainty. Not a possibility, a downright certainty. Action is vital and needed in what’s left of this window. Will there be known championship quality players available before the end of this window? I wish I thought so. Young kids on loan from PL sides who want their youngsters to get game time is the likelihood but not what we need. I know we got Harvey Elliott in who was a good signing, but we’ve had a lot of these players over the years and not too many of them make a huge difference. Alarm bells ringway very loudly for me. -
Great day at Blackpool. 742 runs in a days play. I mean, you can’t complain at that. Both Northants openers scoring one day centuries and finishing on the losing side. Jennings again with another century but just when it looked like we might fall short, in stepped 22year old George Lavelle who hit a superb 61 n.o. off just 34. lancs having a good season, even better when you think of the players missing through the franchise cricket and injuries.

The next game is all that matters, that’s what’s drummed into every footballer and rightly so. it should be exactly the same for the manager. 5 year plans my arse. -

Fans seem to be split into 1) we’re top of the league, first loss of the season. There’s a lot of overreacting going on and 2) last nights display should open manager and fans eyes to exactly where we are. Ill take option 2 every day of the week. -

Good luck to JDT trying to sort that out. -

Well we took a right battering there. Very lucky it’s only one. we worked hard but naïve as hell. Kept giving ball away in dangerous, central areas. Every cross, every corner we were lost. No one in control. Too many youngsters in that lineup. -
RIP Lenny. An example of bravery for all of us. Top man.

Excellent start to the season. Fans currently more behind a manager than I can remember. The club set up starting to resemble that of a club that has direction. Yesterday’s efforts absolutely fantastic. Nobody could have asked for what we’re currently seeing. Brilliant. Take away all that though and there’s still an awful lot to do to become true contenders IMO. We still see a lot of long diagonal balls. I don’t yet see us dominating midfield and as everybody has said the squad is nowhere near strong enough yet. Three games in and we were just filling the gaps best as we could. Any transfer business between now and the close of the window is critical.

The ECB are currently undergoing a performance review, inspired by Englands dismal efforts in the last ashes defeat. Rumours are that county cricket is going to be reduced to just 10 games in a season. Some/most members just don’t see how that can possibly benefit the game and believe that the hundred is the biggest threat to county cricket. In response to criticism that the club aren’t taking members views into account, Lancs ccc organised a forum that took place before Wednesdays game against Worcs. It’s a really interesting meeting and worth listening to in my opinion. The challenges that counties and cricket in this country are spelled out quite well. It’s a long video and I watched it over two sessions. I understand more about the game now after watching this.

Only if you don’t look at what happened. Last season was the first one in 5 years that promised anything at all. It came from nowhere and disappeared in the worst way possible. It does matter what actually happened. -

Using last season 8th place finish as evidence of improvement is pushing it a bit. In truth, turning a very unexpected promotion form into relegation form was a huge minus, not a huge plus. -

If I had a choice, I’d prefer that he was intense with it. -
Yorks vs Lancs on YouTube now. Royal London one day cup. 50 over game, yorks currently 157/7 off 29.

I have a lot of respect for your missus - as you should know. Even more now.😊

We stayed till the end. At the 1:30 inspection when they said they would look again at 2:30 I assumed that given no more rain (which there wasn’t), they would likely make a start. Having said that, there were huge puddles at 10:30 and the ground was surrounded by low, damp, drizzly cloud. They probably got it right. Disappointing but interesting to see Sedbergh school. Went into the Queens Hall for free coffee once or twice. Beautiful place/area but I bet they get sick of the rainy days.

Only just read this. Are there any posters I can delete?

I didn’t see you Gav? At Sedbergh I mean.

Looks a poor team to me, especially in midfield.

The price doesn’t matter does it? whether he’s good enough matters. -
Rhodes- movement - run? does not compute.

Hope JDT was watching that. It might have opened his eyes a little.
