Neither side looking like scoring here.

Spot on Jimmy. Add to the fact that our manager has again said any success is for some unspecified time in the future and not this season. He’s not even too upset when we lose games. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23322201.push-club---jon-dahl-tomasson-talks-blackburn-rovers-expectation/

You could use that scenario to justify offering to pay £10m + PL contract to every player we ever sign. my question is why?
-
I didn’t write him off.
-
I’m not criticising rovers taking players on loan.
-
It would be a multimillion pound deal. It makes no sense to commit to that for someone who’s current club don’t want.
-
I can’t get past the idea that someone at this club thought it a good idea to commit to a fee of up to £10m plus a PL wages contract for a player not proven to be PL class in any way. We don’t even know for sure he would perform for us. Why would any club do that?
-
I get what he’s saying. He’s saying if the performances are right results should follow. Well yes, obviously. That doesn’t need saying. When the fans have had years of being told not to expect any kind of immediate success, or even success any time soon, then those kind of comments aren’t going to go down well. It needs someone at the club to lift the gloom and show the fans what they want for the club. However the owners aren’t going to try. Waggot isn’t capable. JDT doesn’t seem to want to go that way. Who the heck is going to do it?
-
Do lower ticket prices attract more fans? One things for sure. If the club is on a downward trajectory and the management are pissing the fans off, nothing will attract them to Ewood. if they want to get more fans down then show some bloody ambition. Not much more to it than that.
-
Not necessarily. To be fair, the league would have to inform all the clubs involved and the players concerned also.
-
Nothing wrong with that rovers side that a total clearout wouldn’t fix. None of them deserve a new contract including Waggot, Broughton and JDT.
-
Tripe.
-
My prediction… Wigan will score at least one.
-
We’ve been trying to do that for 13 years. We sold an entire PL squad in order to go down that route. It was the only way for a club like ours, struggling in its attempt to get into 7th place in the PL to push on. It doesn’t work. That’s a plan that never holds anyone to account, never sets targets and it’s a plan for failure. Why do some fans fall for this bollocks?
-
Don’t underestimate the power of social media. Political parties are well aware.
-
He isn’t at the start of his career. He’s 22 next month.
-
If we lose this, the mood on here after this weeks “problems “ will be absolutely toxic. Wonder how all this has affected the players?
-
Is George Hirst still available?
-
I read that like you as well. maybe more along the lines of “We’ll just keep plodding along the same old route. “. No real ambition. Just keep turning up. What would Jack Walker have thought about that?
-
I’m not convinced by the two lads we were intending to sign either. why would we take a player unproven at Premier League level, tieing ourselves to pay £10m and a P.L. Contract if we are promoted? What if he got himself injured, missed most of the season - or simply didn’t live up to the billing? What would we, at this point tie ourselves into that? Also, why would we take a 19 yr old, 5’ 6” midfielder who was on loan at Stayleybridge last season from Rochdale? Our 19 yr olds are playing championship football at that age. This at a time where we are needing first team squad players. I just don’t think they know what’s needed. I don’t think they know what they’re doing. We had as much chance of bringing decent players in when Saxton used to tell Fox which player he fancied and the chairman did his best to get him. Not all this bollocks where the manager doesn’t know who he’s going to get put in front of him.

Rovers had all of January to sort out loans. There has to be a deadline that applies to all clubs and the league will be obliged to apply that strictly to every club otherwise the lawyers will be at them. I don’t think Rovers failings here have anything to do with the rules.
-
Rovers statement. No acceptance the club has done anything wrong. No apology to the fans for anything. Its poor from rovers. Such a cold hearted statement. You would struggle to think they’re bothered by the events. Fans put fortunes of often hard earned cash, into supporting the club often for a lifetime. They deserve far better than that offering.
-
There’s some real anger. I’ve never seen the rovers twitterati so hostile to the club - and just about everyone involved in the running of it. Anyone listening I wonder?
-
The league rejected the two loans because the complete paperwork hadn’t been submitted in time.
-
As for the two transfers, I think if the league have asked for the other documents there’s every chance that the deals will go through.
