  1. Funny how we refused to offer Batth a 2 year deal 2 years ago and now we are desperate for him to stay for what would have been a third season if he signed first time around. False economy as usual. I suspect one phone call from John Eustace and he will be gone.
  2. Venky's don't have enough interest to get involved and spend time looking for a 'better' COO. They are happy to have someone at Ewood taking the flak for them. If Pasha leaves, it will only be because he decides to. He would probably recommend one of his Kentaro/SEM mates as his replacement and Venky's would just go along with it.
  3. What is the Fan's Forum take on the coalition out of interest? Are they in or out ?
  4. It also coincides with the need for quick cash. It is cost saving as much as anything else. Rudy steps up and the owners save £300,000a year
  5. Exactly. Waggott has had no clout for quite a while now. They are getting rid of him to save money. Nothing will change any time soon.
  6. It's almost certainly going to be Gestede with all the experience he gained from shadowing Waggott for 6 months !!
  7. This is cost cutting. Although Pasha and Waggott didn't get on particularly, SW acted as a shield for Pasha and he performed that role very well - to the benefit of Pasha and the owners, not the club. In terms of decision making, SW has been sidelined for the last 12 months with Pasha, Sufi and Gestede being the ruling gang. So possible scenario ( with added 'conspiracy theory' comments ) Pasha ( former Kentaro/SEM) COO Gestede ( recently played for S Kean in Australia ) CEO Adam Owen ( recently worked with S Kean at Hibs ) Head of Football operations
  8. Palace in Europe so I hope Adam decides to stay for another season. That would prevent Venky's getting another immediate windfall to flush down the toilet. They can then use the famous 'no impediment' route to fund the club.
  9. Are they likely to sell any after the deadline anyway?
  10. Ollie has summed up my feelings. From the outside looking in, it may appear we had a decent season but it was a golden opportunity deliberately ignored. Somehow, the stars seemed to have aligned: A good manager getting the best out of the players available. Top 6 in January making the club an attractive prospect for decent players. A FFP position which would allow many millions of pounds to be invested into the playing side without the fear of reprisals. Billionaire owners with 'no impediment' to funding the club to their hearts' desire. How did it play out? The manager decided to walk away. No money was spent to strengthen the squad. The COO advised the owners that no money was required. No money was provided. Form dipped. Opportunity thrown away. First team players once again leaving for (virtually) free. Rudy Gestede, with no experience at all, rolled out to face the public with more excuses. The advantageous FFP position gained by selling our best players will soon be gone due to the rolling 3 year rule. The owners have no interest at all. I would rather have owners with no money but plenty of enthusiasm. In August and in January, WATR board members offered to fly out to India, at their own expense, in order to talk to the owners and attempt to make them realise that the current self financing ideology is doomed to failure and ( in January ) explain the golden opportunity that had transpired this season. On both occasions they refused the proposal stating that they didn't need to consult with fans or fan organisations. They are cowards. They listen only to Pasha who has no mandate other than reducing costs. The only way to make them take notice is by hitting them in the pocket. NAPM
  11. Serves them right for being dishonest and avoiding tax in the first place. It's all of their own making.
  12. Maybe Rovers are getting low on cash. The impediment that 'doesn't exist' is actually proving to be be very much an impediment. Venky's don't want to pay a bond so are now trying to rush through an appeal to remove the requirement. None of this was important to them when we still had Wharton, Raya and Szmodics money coming in so they weren't too bothered about the postponed court cases. Seems like they are now?
  13. I think we used up our luck last year due to a Leicester no-show. If they had needed a result we would have gone down.
  14. That's sensible but I just wondered how the panel was structured and if a new influx of backers, in the shape of the BRFCS membership, would necessitate some additional personnel on the panel? How would one go about applying for a place on the panel ?
  15. ‘The Coalition’ banner is also a protective blanket for those involved as it’s a panel open to all regardless of affiliation, direct actions are formed by the panel with no action taken without a majority vote implemented, under the coalition, no one legal entity or party becomes exposed. If ( when) BRFCS votes to back the coalition, will every BRFCS member get to vote on the decisions by 'the panel' or will some BRFCS members need to be elected to the panel to represent all members ?
  16. I would prefer a reliable source before I get my hopes up.
  17. Not sure the rumours about Pasha doing radio today are going to materialise. I don't think he is currently in the UK and even if he was, he hasn't got the bottle to do radio. It's likely to be Waggott.
  18. Is everyone ready for tomorrow's non-event ? Or will it be different this time ? Unlike every other year, Rovers have published their accounts early. Also unlike every other year, the accounts show a profit. Maybe they will be presenting these to the court as evidence - "We no longer need to send funds to the UK. Can we have our seized assets back please ?"
  19. I've been NAPM since Coyle was appointed. I'll be first in the queue for a season ticket once Venky's leave - whatever league we are in.
  20. They have not put £20 million into the club this year - in fact they have contributed £0 since November 2023. The club is only a black hole because of the way they run it. Investment of, maybe £10 million on players in January may have turned into into a gold mine ( if promoted ). You are right about protests - they won't care but I think they will turn up the heat on Suhail. What they do care about cashflow. They were furious with Waggott and Fraser Reid about the income from season tickets this season - hence, Suhail and Safir are now responsible for revenue from STs. Hit them in the pocket - don't but season tickets or shirts over the summer and they will definitely care about that. Our actions can have an affect.
  21. The true Blackburn Rovers is only 135 years old. I refuse to recognise the last 15 years spent under Venky occupation.
  22. I haven't read any of this thread and I think discussing results or managers or playoffs is totally irrelevant. Everyone has the chance to show their disapproval by not buying season tickets for next season and then boycotting all matches next season until the owners leave. The ball is in our court. We have to do something NOW! BOYCOTT AND RECLAIM THE ROVERS
  23. I can safely say this is not the case. I'm not sure where your information came from. In the past WATR have offered season ticket ideas that they believe would be of benefit to fans. In no way was it aimed at increasing club revenue. Those ideas have been in the public domain for a long time. Apart from some WATR reps attending a meeting about the 150th anniversary ( a fairly general meeting with BandD council and other groups ), there has been no contact from the club since the end of January when WATR issued their statement asking the owners to sell the club. WATR are very much on the offensive I can assure you.
  24. I think this is our 150th season. The Centenary was celebrated in 74/75. The horrible reality is that Venky's have stained 10% of our history already
