Yes, I guess that's true - but I sticking to it on principle. -

As a former ST holder now boycotting, wouldn't you prefer NOT to put money in Venky's pockets ? NAPM and all that ? -

I beg to differ. We all know Mowbray can't last 90 minutes without a quick nap in the stands. -

They backed another clown and let him run amok without supervision. The owners have the ultimate responsibility but don't take it seriously. The club is in chaos and, as you point out, the clowns are being allowed to run the whole circus. Venky's out -
2021/22 Pre-Season

Rovers: Kaminski (Stergiakis, 75), Nyambe (Magloire, 75), Lenihan (c) (Carter, 46), Ayala (Annesley, 75), Pickering (Cirino, 75), Davenport (Garrett, 62), Buckley (Nolan, 75), Rothwell (Weston, 75), Chapman (Gilsenan, 75), Butterworth (McBride, 62), Armstrong (Vale, 62). Assuming Armstrong is going, then even with Travis, Dack , Gallagher and Wharton added to that squad it looks paper thin to me. -

I see what you did there - nice one. Sadly, it's also very true. -

I refuse to attend under the current regime but would be at every game if Venky's left and we ended up in NW Counties - so, yes, maby I would be happy. -
Venkys London Ltd accounts
Crimpshrine replied to Pete1981's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I see the full accounts are now available on the Companies House web site. It looks to my untrained eye that the figures and reports were all signed and approved in December 2020. With Mowbray stating that we have missed out on some transfer targets due to the embargo for late filing of the accounts, it begs the question why were they not filed at the earliest date possible after internal approval ? There may be valid reasons - anyone any ideas ? -
AFC Fylde vs Rovers (Pre-Season 21/22)
Crimpshrine replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I just went on Rovers.co.uk and clicked on 'Important information ahead of AFC Fylde v Rovers' and got the message 'page not available'. The AFC Fylde site, however, is excellent and has full details of how and where to get a pre match Covid test. Apparently, there was a special test centre set up at Ewood today for fans wanting to go to the match ( according to the Fylde website ). -

Exactly. A superb, accurate and beautifully articulated post by @Rolo PB On St Crispin's day the troops went into battle inspired by the speech. We fans need to do the same to rid the club of this Venky scurge. Reclaim the Rovers -

You are right, there is always the option to show displeasure in the ground but Venky's won't even hear about it. We need to do something that will make them take notice. -

It's hope rather than optimism, and a desire to reclaim the club for the fans. We have to do something. I know a lot of Rovers fans will not boycott but I think it's our only weapon ( I'm aiming this at Venky's rather than Mowbray ). If everyone boycotted a single match, imagine the impact. Will it ever happen ? What did Steve Jobs say when he started Apple? "I'm aiming to get 1% of the market and take it from there" -

I agree - total incompetence. They make the same mistakes over and over again. We've been here before where we need to sell and can't replace. What's the point in having mega rich owners who will spend money but can't be bothered to have any real interest in the correct running of the club. -

Before I saw the various calculations on here, I was doing some mental arithmetic to work out how much cash may be generated by the sale of Armstrong. I gave up when I remembered that it is probably going in the same pot as the Jordan Rhodes and Tom Cairney money so what does it matter? -

I see Danny Ings has turned down a new contract at Southampton. 12 months left on his current one so they may be looking to move him on. Armstrong a possible replacement ? They have been rumoured to be interested for a while. -

Which makes you wonder why they didn't file the accounts as soon as possible to get out of the 'soft embargo' as other clubs did. Maybe they know what's coming after filing them ? -

I agree to some extent but if we don't accept current offers he will go for nothing at the end of the season. We are not in a strong position really. -

The way I understand it is that the EFL have probably had the accounts and projections for a while but won't make a FFP judgement until the final, signed off accounts are received. Rovers will have sent their final signed accounts and projections to EFL at the same time that they filed them at Companies House. They can now make a judgement on our FFP situation based on the data provided. The fact that the Companies House process is a lagging a little makes no difference and will not affect the decision of the EFL. -

The Companies House delay is a red herring. The only thing that matters is EFL approval of the accounts and projections. -

Crimpshrine replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
You are probably right - I don't think a total boycott would be possible at any club, although Blackpool got pretty close. Having said that, we have to try. We need to take some action whether it is protest and/or boycott. Simply accepting the situation and doing nothing because 'it'll never work' is not an option. Venky's will leave at some point, we need to speed the process up by any means necessary. -

Crimpshrine replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Whether it would be a springboard for a rejuvinated club or the point of no return, administration will probably happen when Venky's tire of paying millions of pounds on something they have no interest in. May as well get it over with sooner rather than later. When it happens I'll be first in the queue for a season ticket - but not before. -

Good point! Will it even be a quarter full? Even less people to convince that boycotting is the way to go. -

With respect to getting rid of the owners, this is the answer. The only action that will gain any significant coverage or reaction. A half full stadium will be explained away as people being cautious after Covid. Nothing changes. We need to go on strike. Make a point with our absence. Operation Empty Ewood.
