You may be right. On the other hand it could make Waggott admit that a Cat A Academy will not be possible at the new site and be open about it - thus exposing the real purpose of the proposals. Otherwise they can forge ahead with plans and then say at a later date "We can't maintain Cat A due to building restrictions we were unaware of previously" Fingers crossed none of this gets off the ground anyway.

The fans forum is the bi-monthly meeting with the club. Each recognised fan group is represented ( Ewood Blues, Disabled supporters, Rovers Trust, Proud Rovers etc ) Reps can put questions forward from anyone in their group but it has to be added to the agenda in advance. BRFCS has a rep at each meeting I believe.

Next Fans Forum meeting is 8th March so pre-meet must be 1st March. This question has to be put to Waggott. Could the BRFCS rep put this on the agenda please ?

Unfortunately, I think this is closer to the truth than people like to admit. Venky's will leave one day and what other outcome is there ? Unless we get promoted of course!!! When they leave they can either forgo collecting the debts and sell at a reaonalbe price or they can try to recoup as much as possible which will mean administration. Is the proposed sale of Brockhall the beginning of the end ? The day of reckoning will come at some point.

The only other club that I've seen mention this as a good idea is......Coventry. This is a quote from their chairman, Mr Fisher, at the time of the proposed sale of their training ground: “We do want to move to a site that allows us to co-locate the academy and the first-team. Can we please set aside the notion that this is some sort of asset-stripping exercise?"

What I find strange is that there has been absolutely no talk of changing the training facilities - quite the contrary, the club often mentions how good they are and new players always say they were part of the attraction when signing for the club. The first mention is in a brief statement after the very detailed house building plan has been made public. I really can't see why anybody can be arguing in favour of this, especially with the Coventry connection where they used the exact same excuse when trying to sell the training ground there. Today's word of the day - Gullible.

I have a feeling that it won't take too long for Bolton to be back in the Championship with a clean slate, engaged, switched on owners and an excited, enthusiastic fanbase. We will probably still be floundering about in mid table, absent owners, deeper and deeper in debt with a disenchanted fan base. Venky's will leave one day, might as well get it over with.

So in terms of the slow build, what phase are we in ? I don't know the details of every players contract but to the best of my knowledge, Williams, Mulgrew, Bell, Johnson, Downing, Rothwell (?), Holtby, Chapman, Evans, Bennett and Nyambe will not be here next season. The loans will all be gone. So where does that leave us: Players who we are probably happy with : Kaminski, Lenihan, Armstrong Players who should come good but currently struggling : Dack , Travis Players yet to prove themselves : Dolan, Davenport, JRC, Wharton, Buckley, Pickering Duffers we are stuck with Gallagher, Brereton, Pears Crocks Ayala Have I missed anyone ? That is a paper thin, poor squad for next season. We would need to spend a pretty penny to build a promotion team based on that lot. Slow build or demolition ?

Rovers fans, like fans of all clubs, expect the owners to show some interest. It's not too much to ask. If Venky's want a top manager they they can afford one. Kenny Dalglish didn't turn up one day and ask if we had any jobs going. We had an owner who knew what he wanted and paid what was required.

I thought he maybe got his squad numbers mixed up and he meant to sub Gallagher when Elliott went on and was then going to bring Nyambe off for Harwood-Bellis. Being so far away from the action and the fourth official, and not paying too much attention, it took him a while realise who had actually left the field in the first instance.- If that is the case it's a sackable offence. On the other hand, if he intended to play Gallagher at right back that's also a sackable offence! Beyond a joke now.

A quick look at the league table indictaes that we are a few places off the playoffs. The reality is we are 18 points off promotion and only 11 above relegation. Thats a massive gap between us and our aim of promortion. In terms of the fabled journey we are still stuck in the Slough of Despond and have made no progress at all. Mowbray's behaviour has changed - he used to wear a jacket and tie and prowl the touchline. Now he looks totally uninterested and dishevelled. His interviews have become more bizarre by the day. When he makes his substitutions it's like watching someone throw bread to the ducks - total chaos. If Venky's were actually watching they would see all this too - but there's the rub. They don't care either. Probably watching the cricket. Heartbreaking really.
