  1. Ya, the loans they got in really were the difference, as is the case with many teams who do well. Makes our awful January window even more frustrating then
  2. We don't know what the terms are
  3. Why? He hasn't played in almost 2 seasons and hardly set the world alight before that. He is out til at least January on top of that. I would say he is happy to be allowed use the facilities and have the opportunity to still be involved with a club. I doubt he will be pushing back on wages.
  4. Releasing Gladwin now would probably end his career. You can give it the big hard business talk all you want, that's fine. Some managers would go down that route and that is their prerogative. I think Mowbray did the right thing here. Time will tell if he will be ruthless enough with players who are fit to find clubs and have had the opportunity to put themselves in the shop window over the past few seasons.
  5. Time, money and resources used? Come on ? I doubt it would be the most hard fought negotiation under the circumstances. I reckon Gladwin would snap their hands off for whatever is offered. I doubt he has any other offers. What do you mean by the first highlighted bit? I am intrigued How will this move impact on us attracting quality players? This is a comical overreaction to be honest
  6. Ya, a bit alright. I haven't heard anything ,but I would guess maybe personal stuff like depression or something. It's tough for players being injured, especially long-term.
  7. I don't see how it in any way impacts on our chances of being promoted or is taking any unnecessary focus from other issues. No one is worrying about it or spending time on it only us on here
  8. No, sad isn't it? We are becoming a cruel society in general. a situation like this shows it. I just wonder would you be so ruthless if you or a family member were let go after being hurt at work
  9. I would say he will take what he can get under the circumstances
  10. Or €25, 000 if on 1k per week for 6 months. Ya, I think it's pretty much just to be nice. Imagine.
  11. I am guessing how much the deal will cost. Do you know something different? Because Mowbray said he is out til January and the situation will be looked at then.
  12. He won't be taking up a squad place as he won't be fit until January. The deal will cost around €16,000 til January.
  13. From Sharpe Would expect about 6-7 signings. Think they will look for a goalkeeper, (at least one) central defender, (at least one) central midfielder and a striker. Wouldn't rule out a right back either. So plenty of work to do! As for Mulgrew, central defenders will come in, he will be part of the plans, unless he asks to leave.
  14. And how does this impact negativity on the club exactly?
  15. Saturday, the 20th of May 2019. After we have known what division we have been in since what, the 9th of April? I have no issue with him going, but conversations about budgets should have happened a month ago. He is over there for the week I think, isn't he? Now there is a reality show I would watch on Sky one
  16. Clearly wrong, but 2 wrongs don't make a right. I could be wrong on this, but it was agency staff wasn't it?
  17. Fair enough you wouldn't expect them to, but it would be nice if they did, no? I would imagine it would leave the company with one loyal employee. I have worked in HR for over 10 years, both in both Irish and multi-national companies. The multi-nationals are ruthless and would have someone out the door, Irish companies would be more likely to support the persons return. Either way, you need to make sure your ducks are in line so as not to be opened up the legal proceedings, if the person is depressed for example. I don't see why a football club shouldn't try and do the right thing by a person, particularly a family club and the fact it will cost peanuts. The leaps some are making in linking this decent gesture to what our budget will be is just mad stuff really.
  18. We have no idea what the terms are/will be. If you were off work with a back injury and your work just let you go, would you say it was bad form? Now if they supported you back from said injury, do you think that would be a nice to do? Yes, it's a business , but why not do the decent thing? Obviously the Bolton staff should be paid, it's bad form that they aren't and that's not a good thing. Well, again we don't know that. He could have severe depression for all we know. Lets say he gets £1000 a week til January, that's £16,000. It's peanuts in the grand scheme of things and I don't see why people are freaking out about it. Pure silly season stuff.
  19. Welbeck is an English international who won't have issues finding a new club. It's not comparable to Gladwin.
  20. It's the Dothraki spelling Christ, how did that even happen. Spell checker let me down badly there
  21. Some disaster if city get banned allowed united to sneak into CL. United need to struggle for a few years and not get an easy ride like this. Obviously what city did is bad too, but...
