  1. I think we all assume that those 2 were brought in as 1st teamers. Do you think they were brought in for the under 23s?
  2. Ya, I don't know how it can be managed tactfully to be honest
  3. His value has plummeted? According to who and since when? Whatever about his form and I think there is a lot more to come, his value hasn't "plummeted" after scoring 14 goals and assisting 7 in his first season at this level. To suggest it has makes no sense. If anything his value probably wasn't as high as being suggested last summer. Talk of 25 million was pie in the sky.
  4. I don't think the Leeds player was being deliberately sneaky though, it just looked like there was uncertainty as to whether the ref was going to stop the game. He didn't and they played on.
  5. What a mess of a jersey
  6. I don't think he has reached anywhere near the heights he is capable of this season, but his goal and assists stats speak for themselves. That alone is worth 5 million. I agree there are issues of concern in his personal life, but I would hope that he knuckles down this summer and presents the best version of himself for pre-season. You can't teach what he has. However, no, I can't see anyone bidding 15 million plus for him this summer and I personally think that is great.
  7. That last sentence is absolutely comical #bringbackthelaughteremoji
  8. Not sure myself, name looks familiar. Maybe he got a passing mention here last summer
  9. Eugh, that list doesn't excite me at all. It doesn't scream "promotion challenge". I would take Bauer and that's it. The others would be on pretty hefty wages and/or have bad injury records, Tommie Hoban makes Chapman look positively robust! Hopefully it's path 1 all the way, but who knows with our great leaders.
  10. Or red on the sleeves with black on the collar, or vice versa
  11. Can't help but think next season is a career defining one for Dack. He needs to get a good pre-season under his belt and turn up in peak physical condition. Having one season under his belt at this level is a positive, I hope we will really see the best of him next season and he pushes on to be a really top player.
  12. Ya, the Alkmaar keeper perhaps
  13. Listening to a lovely African blues playlist on Spotify. I love the "discover weekly" function. I have it set up on the PS4 with 5.1 surround sound. Magic. If anyone is looking for something a bit different, the Ruberbandits have some interesting songs. Comedy, but with good beats. Don't call them novelty, they hate that.
  14. So if roles were reversed you are telling me that you would be on here saying that pound for pound we have had a better 2 seasons? I don't belive you
  15. I thought Villa were completely in the wrong. The rule is the ref needs to blow for an injury, you can't just stop playing and then sulk when the opposition score. Leeds should have told them to do one. Hardly surprising they are so dislike-able now with Terry as assistant manager. Bamford should be ashamed as well. Does he not realise there are cameras at games?
  16. It's no coincidence that Liverpool and city have run the most during games. It's a minimum our players should be doing.
  17. They were in a relegation battle most of this season, we weren't. I don't know how you can spin it that they had a better season than us this year. They certainly did not.
  18. Good post , but I had to retract the like when you said Wigan have had two better seasons than us. That's not true. They have had a tough season down around the bottom of the table. They may have spent less, but there was big talk about takeovers etc. I am sure practically all their fans would say we had a better season.
  19. Can't blame them. Must be soul destroying to play for them at the moment. All things considered they have actually shown a lot of professionalism. They haven't really gotten hammered and they kept fighting.
  20. Unless Sheffield United come back in for Lenihan. That would be bad.
  21. Maybe, but in a way its good if the manager is as involved as much as possible. The concern is that we are creating a very "Mowbray centric" recruitment process and not every manager would want to do it the same way. Having a DOF would alleviate this. As for the money, just one needs to work out and it could cover the costs for years, even a decade. Brentford sold a centre half to Bournemouth i think it was for 12 million after signing him for very little
  22. I think they will both still be here, but we will certainly have interest. Lenihan was interviewed yesterday in the LT, the interview sounded like he was already the long-term captain, which is great. He speaks so well for a relatively young guy. It's funny, as I would say they are our 2 most important players, yet they couldn't be more different off the field.
  23. Why do you think we would need a DOF for this? I think people can over complicate it. Mowbray explains in the article how they are doing it, a few young lads watching videos with senior staff heading over to view first hand. You are probably looking at a couple of 100,000 a season all in, but if 1 signing works out , you make the money back and then some. It's definitely something we need to be doing.
