Oh ya, now you're talkin'!

I would say that is a much safer prediction than one of Mercers. His aim this season was consolidate, so I don't see him walking. You would never know with the Venkys, but I can't see him getting sacked either. Unless this stinker of a run continues, then who knows. I would say it's pretty much a cert that Villa are going to spank us next game.
-
Well someones gotta play there!
-
Indeed, but in reality I don't see him walking or being sacked before the start of next season. Do ye?
-
With all these good young midfielders we have, no reason not to drop most if not all our budget on defenders and strikers. It's just we are so saturated with central midfielders.....
-
Jesus no, I think getting Chapman in and him delivering a bit of excitement might be one of the few remaining positives we could see this season.

The TM to DOF idea is a good one, but he would have to swallow his pride initially. At the end of the day though, it would be a great role for him with the set up we have here. I wouldn't go as far as saying "job for life" , but much less chance of being fired in that role than as manager, particularly with his relationship to Waggott and the fact the owners like him. I think it is safe to say that he sees himself as a manager though, so I can't see him taking another role here.

When did he say this? Very peculiar considering Rodwell has mostly player at centre half. How many games has he played midfield, 2?

Summer Transfer Window 2019

Is the fact that he isn't getting into these League 2 teams not telling? Edit Ok, i have noticed a few posters after you saying he is more than a squad player at Bury -
Summer Transfer Window 2019

Is Wharton better than Magloire? I feel he has moved ahead in the pecking order as things stand -
I don't think they were on the beach, but something isn't right. Murray and Sexton are so key to what we do, if they don't perform, we don't. I just knew when Stander fecked up the kick and go it was going to be a bad day, Overall I think it is the kick up the backside we needed. If we won a grandslam I would be more worried to be honest. The key player just need to go back to their clubs and find some form.

New Games/General Gaming
Bigdoggsteel replied to Cocker's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football
I think some of us discussed the youtube show "Prepare to try" (now called RKG) on here before. I have watched it for years and I only realised yesterday that Krupa is from Blackburn. A viewer asked who his favourite Blackburn player is in the, he said Shearer or Tugay-good choices! -
OK, fair enough. I suppose for teams at the top, it's good to keep their minds off the pressure. If we beat villa, I won't care, but if we rock back up and take a beating, it will be a different story!
-
The thing is of they were top of the league or in the running for the play offs, they probably wouldn't go away I doubt Leeds, Sheffield United or Norwich players are heading to dubai on jollys. I doubt ipswich are either. So in a way, our lot are best placed to go away as they have nothing left to play for. Therfore, in a way they are being rewarded for mediocrity.
-
Well they definitely didn't deserve a night out after the Brentford game. 2 nil up, on the cusp of the play offs and we concede 5 second half goals. I would have been too sickened to go out if I was them
-
I suppose peoples opinions could change depending on the villa result

There is something to this. I don't begrudge payers having a holiday, but on an international break after the collapse we have just witnessed, at a minimum, I don't think they deserve it. I'm sure the players do care about what has happened, but I wonder how much? Along with a lack of leadership, I think there are a lack of winners in our team. Too many just happy to plod along in mid table and go to dubai on their holidays! Mowbray is laizze Faire, no doubt about it. It could eventually be his undoing imo. You can't trust modern payers to put the work in.

My god, can people please listen to Mowbray's interview before waying into the Rothwell debate. The interview is 4 minutes. Personally I thought Mowbray was very prickly about the topic. It was like he thought the interviewer was implying Rothwell should start more. In fairness he didn't refer to him being a child yesterday though, he said he did well, but that he can be like a child sometimes. Overall not a great thing to say and it seems he has some issues with Rothwell. Wouldn't fill me with confidence if I was Rothwell and it is hard to see him ever flourishing under Mowbray. I think we could end up filing Rothwell in the "ones who got away" category. In general Mowbray came accross as very annoyed in the interview. Even when asked about our goals, he brought it back to the poor defending for their goals. It's just why is he only seeing how poor we are definsivley now? Why let Downing go? He hasn't and isn't doing himself any favours. What he will need to do to give me hope for next season is to sign a centre half early in the window. Im taking about spending 5 million plus on one. Then he needs to sign and keeper and sell Williams. -
Summer Transfer Window 2019
Bigdoggsteel replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Ya I would put him just ahead of Lowe in terms of captain material. Mowbray has messed up recruitment since the end of the league 1 season, no doubt about that. I would give him the summer all the same. It sounds like he has lost patience with some payers here, but time will really tell on that. The players he gets rid of this summer will tell more of a story than who we sign. He has a big job on his hands Ideally I would like Jockonovic to come in, but no point talking about it, cos it ain't happening -

When we got it to 2-1 I knew it was more likely the gane would finish 4-1 than 2-2. A bad sign! -

Was thinking the same. Ipswich and Bolton are gone but the other teams are fighting. Thank God we have points on the board or I would be very worried. -

Some on twitter saying 3 at the back with Bennett left wing back. I would prefer the 4 at the back as suggested above Did Buckley play for the under 23s yesterday? -
