  1. Confident of a deal being done? You really only realise how much bullshit is written when its a story like this about one of our players who we 100% know is not going to West Brom this week
  2. Fair enough. Just on the highlighted, we also signed Davenport and Rodwell for fees. Along with signing a number of key players down to long term deals. Again, all costing money. So even on outlay on transfers upfront now, I would say its more along the lines of a figure between your £5 million and others £10 million, around £7 million I reckon. As for the overhaul next season. It won't be as extreme as you are making out it will be. This is an exciting time for the club.
  3. And he supported Suarez after the Evra incident! Definitely a wacist. Joking. There weren't many black players in the Premiership in the early to mid 90s, different time.
  4. Are all clubs as secretive about injuries? I have no idea what is wrong with Gladwin or Davenport
  5. Again, I don't understand. If as was suggested by another poster you are likening Venkys running of the club to the abuse the Catholic church carried out in Ireland, I would say wind your neck in. Think of an analogy that isn't completely out of proportion to the point being discussed.
  6. So did the window exceed your expectations? You thought we had next to nothing to spend Remember you asked me to come back to you after we sign Brereton
  7. Told what, by who? They were/are in a bubble in India. Why would those on the ground at the club tell them that things were gone to shit? I don't get your last line, what do you mean?
  8. I have read its £6-7 million in January with further increments after that. Where are you getting the £4 million figure from? I haven't seen that figure mentioned anywhere else
  9. Ya, the buck does stop with them of course. Although when you bring up their naivety , it makes me think that the walker trust should really have flagged that when selling the club. As for your last sentence, don't say those words, we all know Tony is here to stay!
  10. I think our past problems were due to the wrong people being on the ground in and around the club, more so than the owners. They were clueless, but if they kept what we had or appointed the right people from the start, it would have saved us fans a lot of pain
  11. Raya 22, Nyambe 20, Wharton 20, Lenihan 24, Bell 24 Davenport 19, Travis 20, Rothwell 23 ,Dack 24, Armstrong 21 Brereton 19 Exciting.
  12. Different times man. It is very odd looking alright
  13. Grealish and now Declan Rices agents were apparently in their ears saying this
  14. Is it too soon for a Mowbray statue somewhere? What he has done with the squad and attitude of the players in 18 months has been absolutely incredible when you think about it As for our best 11, apart from the defense, I couldn't pick at this point. Too many options.
  15. Oh ya true, how could I forget those 2. Imagine they brought that Champions league rule back in. Chelsea would have to play their under 18 team
  16. Ya, they will have to change that. It's stupid
  17. Rovers 94/95 must be the last all British, all Caucasian team to win the Premiership. Just interesting. I completely agree that it doesn't mater where the players are from as long as their personalities are good. That's what Mowbray is looking for.
  18. I think Williams father was in the army, is that correct? I actually didn't realise that Williams was from Waterford until he was called up to the Ireland squad. That should be on the confession page!
  19. Read a quote from Mowbray yesterday that we had bids in for 3-4 players earlier in the window for similar figures that we will spend on Brereton, but that for whatever reason, they didn't work out
  20. Raya, Lenihan, Williams and the Canadian would disagree with that I don't know if your maths are bad or you are committing the cardinal sin with Lenihan and Williams
  21. If ever there was an example of managing up effectively, Mowbray with the Venkys is it. Go on Tony lad
