  1. Oh of course. Mowbrays approach, publicly at last is to build up our opposition. He was doing it last season in league 1. I can imagine his comments about villa and Stoke already. If they are struggling for confidence, they will just need to read what he says about them. Obviously behind the scenes he is working with the team on our opponents weaknesses. So if we get a good result, we move on. It's just when we don't and he has built the opposition up it grates on me. It's actually one of the things that he does that annoys me the most. I presume all managers do it, I just really notice him doing it.
  2. Attack is the best form of offense ah no, I would be cautious of playing it in the league.
  3. Next game is when Mowbray drops the loyalty to those who did well last year and just plays our best 11 Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Williams Rothwell Evans Bennett Dack Palmer Armstrong Actually, its hard to pick our best team, isn't it? Mostly because the balance of our squad means we will need to paly at least 2 players out of their best/favoured position I actually notice yesterday City played a variation of the formation with only Fernandinho holding and 2 upfront. So something like this Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Williams Evans Bennett Dack Palmer Graham Armstrong
  4. Armstrong is a right greedy little so and so at times, isn't he? Calling some of his shooting yesterday indulgent, would be downplaying it. Get your head up and find a team mate man. Whatever about doing that when he is upfront, he needs to play for the team when operating as an inside forward
  5. Any update on whether Dack was enjoying himself last night?
  6. I wouldn't criticise players for one off poor performances, I know our team try their best. I just think no matter what position he is playing, he really needs to take those chances. Fair play for being in the right place, but they were handy enough chances. On related note. Did anyone see much of Bell before we signed him? He doesn't look like the best left back in league 1 to me. Is he playing within himself? Have we seen the best of him? I was expecting him to be much quicker for a start
  7. Palmer may be good on the ball, but he has missed two huge chances to win games for us now. Today and against Ipswich. He can do all the pricking and flicking he likes, but he needs to take easy chances when offered.
  8. Scoring points? No, it's called disagreeing with you Stuart. As many people are doing on this. No need to take on the world.
  9. Fair play for such a detailed response. You obviously believe what you wrote. In brief, he is injured and he isn't "rubbing everyone's nose in it". You are obviously annoyed, but you have picked a strawman here Stuart.
  10. Well said and just to add, Dack hobbled through our last few games last season until promotion was confirmed. Stuart is really outdoing himself today. Even by his standards. Take a time out Stuart!
  11. How does an injured player having a few drinks let his team mates down? Genuine question.
  12. Is he? I don't see it. We will have to set up a separate thread to monitor his nights out
  13. What do you mean frequency? This is the first time he has put something like this up this season. We would have heard about it if there was another time. Or did I miss it?
  14. At a party? If he knew he wasn't playing today, that shouldn't be an issue. If we won, it wouldn't be. Why, are some moaning about it? Smallwood needs to be sit the next game out. When he isn't playing well, he is a liability. Seems inconsistent this season.
  15. Our usual stuff of only being able to maintain a performance for 45 minutes won't do this season. Mowbray needs to sort this. I think he has the options on the bench to mix things up. Lenihan needs to buck up. Perhaps the lack of pressure on his place isn't good for us. I think we all agree that wasn't our best 11 today. We need to see a fresh start against villa. Let's forget about who was good last year and play who is good now. What's this about Dack? Haven't been online in a few days
  16. Never!! Ha ha. Ah no, you could say that in isolation alright. It seems things have changed now they have proper football people back in place, as was the case when they bought the club. Anyways, long may it continue.
  17. I dunno. Travis has featured in 4 of our games so far. He could keep ahead of Davenport in the pecking order now. Will surely start all league cup games too and we are going to either get to the semis or possibly even win that Nuttall, ya, hard to see him get a huge amount of time as things stand. Overall loans would have been best for both alright though.
  18. Sorry ya, I didn't mean anything bad. I was very frustrated on deadline day too. Chapman would have been the icing on the cake alright. Ah well. Not to be
  19. I just meant what a difference a few weeks make. We ain't tight arses now
  20. I think it's the opposite of Mowbray putting all his eggs in one basket. We already had a basket full of lovely free range eggs we purchased at Market, Chapman would have just been another nice egg to have. No issues with the lads who left, so no bad egg puns
