  1. That's good to hear. He has obviously had a bad few years, but I would expect a lad whose last 2 moves cost a total of £25 million to look a class above in an under 23s game. Bigger tests to come, but positive signs going off your feedback.
  2. Can I watch this game on Sky on my laptop if it is on Red button on the tv? I have my friends Sky password It isn't on Ifollow anyway, is it?
  3. I played the remastered game on the ps 3. I remember that guy being a comical character
  4. Who have ye got in McGregor against the Russian? I wouldn't be a fan of some of McGregors recent shenanigans, but I reckon he is going to knock him the F out. Round 2. Can't wait for the press conference later this week. Guaranteed entertainment
  5. Ah OK. I remember when the switch was announced people were speculating it would run on Nvidia software. Your profile pic, is it curse of money island??
  6. Well it depends. He is fit, but due to a lack of game time, well off the sharpness we will hopefully see after a few more games
  7. Is that just like a switch? I read the switch runs on the same software. I am considering getting a Vita, cheap as chips with a huge eco system of games. I have a PS4 and a wii U. From what I see Nintendo are making a balls of the switch in similar ways to the Wii u
  8. Cheers, could you expand a bit on Rodwell please? Was he center of a back 3?
  9. Valid point, but I suppose the owner could make the case that they have been building well on a budget. They lost Hugill, who else? I think losing Maguire to injury was a big blow for them. He gave them some boost when he came back last season. He was by far the best player int he League of Ireland when he went over, but unlike the majority, he hit the ground running. He was never really injury prone, so just unlucky it seems. Also, some teams just respond badly the season after not getting out of the play offs. Sounds like you have a far better understanding of whats going on there than I do though. I would really only follow whats happening with them because so many Irish lads have gone over there
  10. Completely agree about Graham and Mulgrew. Serious Indian summers going on there. You sum up Grahams contribution perfectly. I would add that Mulgrew is our quarter back, I can't imagine not having a ball playing center half now. In the form he is in, I reckon he could be playing in the Premiership. Nod to some of his wing play against Villa, sublime. Didn't look the most graceful, but Jesus he got the job done on 2 occasions big style. Bet his man well and whipped in great deliveries, one of which we scored from of course.
  11. I didn't see that game, but I know that he is a serious downgrade on the other 2 keepers they have. Pope was a revelation last season. He was worth around 10-12 points for them. Similar to Friedel when he was here
  12. Love this quote from Tony in the LT “My job as a coach is to improve the playing staff over time and if we want to have aspirations of getting promoted and getting out of this league then at some stage the players either have to come on the journey and improve significantly or we buy better players.”
  13. He is awful. Compared to Pope and Heaton he will lose them points over the season
  14. I thought Bennett was very poor against Villa, probably our worst player. He will always give 100%, but he kept losing the ball and offered nothing in attack. Rothwell or Palmer in there for me. We are in for a long ,hard season. I would like if our midfield "2" consisted of a combination of Smallwood, Evans, Reed or Bennett , depending on fatigue etc. Poor Travis though...I see he was back with the under 23s last night. He needed to go on loan badly.
  15. Lets be honest. They squad is a good Championship one. The came 7th last year due to getting on a stubborn run. Ultimately they don't have a huge amount of quality, particularly in the attacking areas. Plus now they have Joe Fart on goals, so that is already a few points dropped where Heaton or Pope would have saved them. If we got them in the cup this year, I wouldn't be thinking defeat is as foregone a conclusion as last year. I would actually fancy our chances, home or away
  16. What are you talking about? If he is onside he has every right to give the linesman a decision, its up the the linesman to get it right. Whats he supposed to do, stand 5 feet onside in case the linesman gets it wrong? The attacker is meant to get the benefit in these situations.
  17. I would say we should have won the Reading and Ipswich games. We were lucky to win the Brentford game. So I reckon we should be at 13 points
  18. We have started well, but we have actually been unlucky. We should be on 12-13 points,if not more. I think we will only get better too
  19. As for MOTM. We all love Dack, but the goal and a few flicks aside, Mulgrew and Graham contributed far, far more.
  20. He won far more duels with the centre halves than he lost. He nearly always got a little flick on. He got out in front of Tuanzabe a lot and gave him a bit of a lesson really. Chester was a bit more 50/50,but I would say Graham did get the better of him a nice few times. I reckon Graham playing so well was the reason Brereton was brought on the wing instead of upfront
  21. Ya and if we don't sell him he will make up some new bullshit
