You get involved in the most nonsensical back and forths for pages on end quoting poster after poster. The inability of the club to fill such a key role after 5 months is very important imo. You can pretend it doesn't matter all you want. You are wrong.

Summer transfer window 2021.

Yes, but we weren't the ones involved in doing the deal. When you're buying a car, you kick the wheels and look under the hood. When your buying your car, it's up to you to do that. I can admire or slate your purchase, at the end of the day, it's up to you to do due process on your purchase. He was clearly miles off the pace from day one. The only thing that saved him was Amari Bell. Who I still think Douglas at 50% is better than -

About his level now. Shocking due process done on where he was at ability wise for that deal. Managed terribly by Mowbray too. He has an awful habit of dropping players playing well and sticking with those who need to be dropped. Moron -
None, but if he plays more than 25 games ,I will be shocked.

This is it, he missed his crack at the PL you would think. One decent season there and who knows, could have been at the euros now. -

But not surprising, is it? Actually far from it. -
I don't remembering you answering it. No point asking them, they don't know. It doesn't make sense that 5 months later this key role is unfilled. Nobody is surprised though. Ps, I hope you see the irony of saying I repeating time after time

Which we don't have, so that's why people are struggling to see why you think we can make the play offs? It's depressing, but there is no point ignoring reality. As for keeping Armstrong, my prediction is we sell him too late to sign a replacement Any word of a new head of recruitment? Wonder why it's taking so long. 5 months now.

Wharton isn't back until September, so when will he actually start a game? We better hope Ayala has a much different season than last one. Would you bet now that Ayala will play more than 20 games?
-
Because it's Venkys and this is what they do? Just because they squander £25 million a season, doesn't guarantee us any success and you know that. 2 wins in 17 last season. Downings comments. No head of recruitment. The signs are not good. Of course you are entitled to be optimistic if you so choose and I hope you're right, but the signs look clear to me and they don't look good.

I know you have said Dack is fat and useless in some of your nonsensical posts, but the fact is he scored more than double the goals Grealish did that season. So even you can grasp that. -

Not just Mols to be fair. You've gotten quite the catalogue at this stage. That season I think Dack was. Obviously since their careers have diverged on 2 very different paths and Dack won't be catching him now. You can throw your mind back to then can't you? As in its not now. Do you understand? Dack scored more than double the number of Championship goals Grealish scored that season. I think you're catching up. Good boy. Again, you're struggling to grasp nuanced conversation on Armstrong and are processing it as "slagging". Maybe the adults speaking will click with you some day. Keep reading and learning anyway. We believe in you! -

I don't even think it's that conspiratorial. Things are just done at a snails pace, or neglected. It just boils down to things being very amateur, whereas smaller , more organised clubs can thrive in the current climate, we can't -
It was the aim last season though and he is basically coming out putting a dampener on expectations for this season. Do you think there is any chance this squad under Mowbray can make the play offs?

Not a huge Grealish fan. He's a despicable diver. He gets away with it the way the game is now, but it's not a style of play that appeals to me. -
I take that point, but we still have to replace them
-
It currently is weaker though. We don't know who we are signing and young players stepping up is an unknown quantity. Plus we will probably lose Armstrong and Mowbrays record of spending considerable money on strikers is pretty bad. Plus we still have no head of recruitment after 5 months.
-
It's extremely unlikely Mowbray will get us anywhere near the play offs though, isn't it? More likely a death spiral and we will be in trouble because the owners won't sack him. I hope he proves me wrong, but looking at it logically based off previous seasons , the signs aren't pointing that direction. Deadwood that used to play on occasion in Evans and Bell. Bennett and Mulgrew should have been gone the season before and spending a wage on Downing made no sense. You could say it was good to have his experience around, but going off his comments we just had an unhappy player, which would have the opposite affect. Things do not appear well in the camp and I have no doubt the players probably can't believe the manager is still here either. Do you honestly think we can get anywhere near the play offs?
-
I doubt we will play that though, so we will just be left with Muddled Mowbray and a weaker squad
-
You would have to say top half would be a success, right? I mean there is nothing to suggest anything better ,is there?
-
Worrying when you look at those squads and back up options. Weaker than last season

Well it's not a direct comparison with all things being equal. Dack has had 2 ACL injuries, plays for us, whilst Grealish has avoided major injuries and plays for his boyhood club, who are a club moving in the right direction. The season they went up, when I said that, I think Dack was the better player. In fact one of them could have moved for the bones of £20 million , if the rumours are to be believed! -
We definitely need a left back. I think we have Dolan and Chapman who can cover for Brereton there. I think we need a CB, a striker and a CM. We have a lot of injury prone players at CB and CM and we could walk into a crisis very easily. There are quality issues with CM as well. I don't think what we have now is good enough to get us near the top 6. Then a striker obviously if AA goes, but even if not we need one seen as Mowbray won't play Gallagher there. Actually we need someone to play on the right of the front 3 while we are at it. I'm concerned about this season.

Ya, but he has looked terrible. I would even say out of shape. It's a surprising deal for me
