MOWBRAY OUT -
Final Transfer Analysis
Bigdoggsteel replied to Blue blood's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
No, I can't agree that Rothwell is much use, too inconsistent. Bit of a push to say Holtby is any use as well. The others ,ok really, but none guaranteed starters for any of the top 6 barring probably Armstrong. A decent manager top 10 yes. Play offs would have taken a manager getting them playing better and more consistent than any of them have to date. It's all on Mowbray anyway. It's his squad. Reading ,Cardiff and Boro. You could argue that either way who has the better squad. It's probably 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. All have some good players, none have enough. -
Final Transfer Analysis

Does it though? A lot of Barnsley lads have made names for themsleves this season. Surely some will get moves if they don't go up. Of the chasing pack, ya, maybe. Who though? Armstrong deffo, Kaminski maybe but some good keepers in this division, Lenihan maybe, Travis not currently, Rothwell probably be used the same as here, who else have we got then? Dack, ya, but he's ,well ,let's not depress ourselves more after the season we have had I agree we are underperforming -

Glad Kaminski won it. I think he deserved it. A good team player and the best keeper we have had in some time. Now to sort the rest of the team! -
Final Transfer Analysis
Bigdoggsteel replied to Blue blood's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I suppose not many managers would oversee such a dreadful run (or runs). Especially the last one. The owners are to blame for that too though, as are the players ,but ultimately it stops with Mowbray and that run was something few if any managers, at any level, would survive. So ya, we could easily be a good bit higher and have more points. Even though I agree some are now over hyping our squad as another way to bash the manager, when in reality as @roversfan99 points out, it's not as if many of them have shown consistently high standards previously. Those that have, like Johnson and Downing, are past it. A good manager could get them up top 10 and in contention for 6th place further into the season, but this isn't a guaranteed top 6 sqaud by any stretch of the imagination. -

Johnson just shared a video to Instagram of him Dack and Brereton fishing. Pretty much in line (pun intended) with where we are at! -
Summer transfer window 2021.

I think Bell being out of the side has inflated fans view of him. Douglas has been a disappointment, but he's still better than Bell. -

I think you have focused a bit too much on Douglas's weaknesses after an early poor start. He has far more in his locker than Bell. Bell is pretty much unable to block crosses. He takes too many touches. He is weak on the ball. Frankly, he is dreadful. Can you tell me one game where he played consistently well? Or even 75% of it well. When I watch him, him doing something good or positive excites me, because it's such a rare occurrence -

He honesty isn't. Even allowing for the fact Douglas is past it. Bells 50% is his best, that's it. Can you remind me of any occasion where he reached this 100% you allude to? -

Exactly and as usual, we are 1 injury away from having to play him. It's classic stupid loser mentality mowbray -

Exactly. He's at the age where he should be at his best, but Mowbray starts a loan player well past his best instead of him. Then offers him a new deal. Joke shop of a club. -
Final Transfer Analysis

I remember one of the brain if brokhall videos on YouTube ,Gallagher said he thinks he's a right back and started laughing. The players Definetely talk amongst themselves about Mowbrays bizzare decisions. The run we went on suggests to me, amongst other things, all is not well in the camp. I bet the players can't believe he is still in a job. It wouldn't happen anywhere else. -

We probably wont make a signing for weeks into the window, especially a cash one, the usual. The budget hadn't been agreed. Mowbray doesn't know if he's staying. Basket case of a club. -

How and why would they have faith in Mowbray after the crash we had? 2 wins in 17 wasn't it? If they do, there is something wrong with them or they have an alterior motive -
It boils down to two explanations, either Sharpe is a pussy or his editor is telling him to reign it back. My bet is 100% all in on the latter. It's an editorial decision to just be harness basically. The problem we have such little national or international traction, the pressure does fall on the LT. Probably shouldn't be expecting anything. Local papers are what they are.
-
Have I asked Sharpe? No,I'm not on any social media anymore. I have read some specualtion here, yes. None of it really adds up to me. I don't see how the run of results, failure to achieve targets and the fact we need a massive rebuild in light of his repeated "journey" comments can just be ignored when Mowbray speaks to the LT. It's pathetic. You would see amateur managers put under more pressure from local rags, let alone one tasked with achieving results with a multi-million pound business.
-
F**k him. Blocking the LT would actually be good publicity for them. Someone is choosing the way they are presenting this situation
-
I can't see how banning the LT would be a good look or do Mowbray any favours.
-
At least 300,000 so up to 600,000. Could be more. The point is the same. He ain't walking away from it, contrary to his comments about integrity and not over staying his welcome. I'm not sure of the reasons why Sharpe won't, but calling Mowbray out on obvious issues is hardly reason to cut off access. In fact it would come accross as sad and pathetic to do so. Does anyone actually buy that paper for soelely Rovers stuff though really? I mean, you would know more about the club reading what's posted here. There is some reason why Sharpe doesn't though
-
Sharpe needs to get the finger out and put it to Mowbray that the majority of fans have turned. See what he says to that. Call him out on the excuses that he will inevitably give. It's not difficult. Shooting fish in a barrell really.
-
I reckon he's on about £300,000 a year. So if he resigns he loses out on that. The only way he gets it is if he is sacked or sees out his contract. We can all say this and that (as I have) but would any of us walk away from that money? I bet if he had another option or offer from a different club, he would. He doesn't though, so he's going to hold us to ransom. His comments about integrity etc are coming back to bite him now ,but money talks. Plus thats him. He talks about transparency in communication, but really he's a cranky old foot in mouth merchant. He gets away with it here because the media don't scrutinise him. So many examples of comments that if a PL manager said it, they would be rounded on. He has found the perfect club. High a level as he will manage with no media scrutiny( in fact, the opposite as it borders on spin, case in point Sky saying we play good football) plus owners who pretty much don't have a clue what's going on. The ones who suffer are the fans.

They also have the same motivational skills

You got so many likes for this because it sounds EXACTLY like what he will say and everybody expects it. Excuse based manager is muddled Mowbray -
LT saying again Mowbray is staying. Do they know anything? I would hope not, but they must ,surely? This is sick. We as fans just want to enjoy our football. Mowbray has shown with everything set up for him he almost gets us relegated. Next season with a rebuild it'll be worse. Clowns of owners.
