  1. Both started well below us though I'm pretty sure. Hughton definitely. We must have been least 20 points ahead of them when he took over
  2. Why even bother playing him at this stage?
  3. I think a lot of excuses are made for Nyambe to be honest. Although obviously better coaching would help
  4. It will be depressing if Mowbray gets the green light to continue and a few of those start signing new deals
  5. I have no doubt if we were going here in a relagation battle we would be in trouble. It would go exactly as you say they should play. Now it's interesting as I think with the pressure off it will suit some of the players like Brereton and Rothwell. Not that I really feel they are under much pressure though, with Mr Mediocre in charge
  6. Stop man. I have better things to be doing than deep diving ad naseum on my original post, it is what it is. The conversation is over. The public have spoken and the majority understand the rational.
  7. Definitely. McBride. The center half from Gibraltar. Why not? Now's the time There are wholesale changes and the integrity question that raises, but those 2 need to have a run in the first team at this stage
  8. I mean who can't say it wouldn't be more interesting to watch Derby try to get out of League 1 , than Rotherham?
  9. I find a lot of what you say contradictory. I think you're confused and I wouldn't blame you after this season. Its not just about his post match interview, which I actually never mentioned. It's the general narrative he will be able to spin the higher we finish. Long response without clarity. I'll go again, what benefit do we get from winning this beyond you speculating people might be happy if they check the score? Simple question. The general consensus, of which one is often hard to find is that a review will take place at the end of the season. Higher position good for Mowbray, lower position bad. Pretty simple really.
  10. I don't give a shit, but I would also like Derby to go down. So this particular game a win for us isn't really going to do anything other than give Mowbray ammunition to spout more garbage and fans to U-turn and say a corner has being turned. What good will a win for us do here? The higher up the table we are, the more scope Mowbray has to spin.
  11. Honestly, who knows what motivates them to make a change? You don't. I don't. They could base it on league position, couldn't they? Very plausible. Winning certainly won't, losing is more likely to. Simple as that really. Anyway, we are safe, so really, who cares at this stage? What do you mean by "purpose of our matches" anyway? The purpose is now over. We are safe. There is no further purpose. That being said. If we we were going here under pressure needing a win, we would struggle, with the pressure off these bunch of pathetic "professionals" will play without shackles and beat them
  12. I'm going rogue here I want Rotherham to win. I want Derby to go down and Mowbray doesn't deserve any pointless end of season gloss. I don't even feel guilty Having said that we will probably beat them 4-0
  13. It's the perfect time for a new manager to come in and be given a decent wage budget to play around with
  14. Ok, so the vast majority you wouldn't offer deals to and of the 3 you mention one has MAJOR question marks over injuries and one isn't even out of contract this summer. Does Rothwell not have a year option too? I would probably offer him one too, but he is inconsistent to say the least. I doubt they are openly lying about offering deals as the player or their agent could easily refute this , plus Dack got one which would be equal to our highest earner, if not the highest, I imagine. Particularly if, as you say, this was arranged well before it was made public. So I don't see how Armstrong wasn't offered one on similar terms. He obviously knows he is in a position of power, which he is. Pretty simple really. Anyway, I wouldn't blame anyone with better options not renewing whilst Mowbray is manager.
  15. Simple question, besides Armstrong, of those out of contract, who would you prioritise offering contracts to?
  16. How do you know any of that about Dacks contract? I think you have your own narrative on this and you are running with it. Many issues at the club, Armstrong not signing is no more complicated than him and his agent know he is in a position of power. On JRC. I think many would have huge concerns over his injury record. Would you not?
  17. Dack was offered one, so why would you think that Armstrong wasn't?
  18. It's very easy to say we should have done this or we should have done that. I am sure numerous contracts have been offered to Armstrong. At the end of the day, he is the one with the power here, as he was last summer. The fact he had a good end to the season and knew he would be the number 1 striker gave him all the cards here. I just don't think this one is a simple case of Mowbray or the club being able to anything else. He will get at least what our top earner is on somewhere else next season and he knows it. Plus a signing on fee no doubt. So its a case of having to break the wage structure here, plus give him a huge signing on fee, then just sell him anyway during the summer. Again though, it would work out just as well for him to wait and run down his deal, because of the signing on fee involved. He has no loyalty to Rovers at the end of the day.
  19. He mustn't be telling you so
  20. Have you heard or seen any suggest yesterday was a corner turning? I honestly can't believe that anyone could seriously still think Mowbray is the man who could get us into the play offs next season. It's only ending one way
  21. No, because I know they don't , as does everyone else. Many examples of this over the years. Nobody knows what venkys are planning. You should know that at this stage
  22. To be fair, we don't know the ins and outs. He could have been offered a deal , or a number of deals and turned them down. Player power and all of that. Although some players can criticize Mowbray, Armstrong certainly can't. He owes him a lot. He has played a huge part in his ascendancy.
  23. Exactly. So how are McNally and Jeff Selling in the know then? That was my point
