  1. Just one more thing... Well spotted Columbo!
  2. Nonsense. How many £10 tickets offers were there last season? One? Those people waiting to pop down would have had a long wait. The offers they did put on worked out at about the same as an ST on a pro-rata basis. Club - 'We're slashing prices' Fans - 'Oh my! You've devalued the product. I won't buy a ticket now!!'
  3. I must have imagined those 27k for the Oxford game at £10 a ticket. If tickets had been £25-£30 many wouldn't have been near the place. A lot of them were young people too. Have a look around Ewood next time you're there. Not many young lads these days. The average age must be 40+. Waggott hasn't worked out how to remedy that yet, other clubs have though, and some of those clubs have bigger fanbases than us. Then again Waggott thinks charging someone £10 to replace a ST is a good idea. He's not only failing to re-engage the lapsed fans, he's also pissing off the ones still there.
  4. You'd think that if you'd spent £400 on a ST you'd be able to get a free replacement just once if some low life scroat had robbed your wallet with said ST in. Not Rovers, they want a tenner.
  5. Yep, 'Retards', 'Fried Mars Bars', 'What does Scotland offer the EU?'. It's all quality Bolton-related stuff.
  6. There seems to be some doubt as to whether Anderson has offered the full amount and,if he has, whether it was in instalments which wasn't accepted. Someone needs to pay before 10am or the club goes into administration. Talks ongoing according their local journo. It's all in this live blog:- https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/16833684.latest-updates-as-bolton-wanderers-seek-to-avoid-administration/ The 'interesting' thing in that story is that Bolton have had prospective buyers turned down by the EFL because they didn't meet the 'fit and proper' rules! it must have been a serial killer because they don't normally give a shit.
  7. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/september/a-to-z-ryan-nyambe/ A Q&A with the delightful young man, and world-class full back, who goes by the name of Ryan Nyambe (or RyNy to his friends). My only gripe (apart from him being a Manure fan) is the following answer to the question 'what is the strangest thing you've seen': "There’s quite a few strange things. I remember driving in Wythenshawe one night and just saw a guy laying with his bike. It was late at night and I remember thinking it was a bit odd!" I think he'd fallen off Ryan and you were meant to ring for an ambulance. Apart from that a top man and a full back who is getting better with every season. Hoorah for Ryan!!
  8. Aye. Bottlers. Running scared of the mighty Rovers. Twas ever thus.... https://www.lep.co.uk/sport/football/preston-north-end/preston-north-end-forced-to-cancel-and-forfeit-their-lancashire-fa-senior-cup-tie-with-blackburn-rovers-1-9342766
  9. The point is he was third in the assists last season whether you think that is good enough or not. Only Graham and Dack contributed more. Bennett has chipped in with 2 assists already this season (three if you count the penalty he won against Reading) That's probably the most in the team. He's also made the 2nd most tackles in the league this season (along with Evans). This is all from (mainly) out wide. He is the perfect player for Mowbray, who clearly doesn't want flying wingers. He has the perfect skillset for what Mowbray wants him to do.
  10. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16693284.how-rovers-are-shaping-up-in-the-championship-statistics/?ref=mac I missed these the other day. We are the kings of hoofball in the Championship: 'Rovers have averaged 17 crosses per game, only three teams attempting fewer, while at an average of 87, no team has tried more long balls' ….. and we have 'a pass success rate is just 67.9 per cent, the sixth worst' but we have put the 2nd most tackles in. Probably a fair reflection on what I've seen at home this season.
  11. Bennett was the No.10 against Brentford. He played there so he could close down their CB's and stop them playing out from the back. He did it superbly. It was certainly a defensive role though, he wasn't Zico.
  12. You don't see him on the pitch, that's your whole problem. If you did you would see he's a far better player than you give him credit for. Is he one of Conning's boys? If so what a great job he's doing with young Ryan. Three cheers for Simon. Hip Hip Hooray....
  13. You can't be more 'on the front foot' than Bennett was against Brentford at home when he also set up the winner. I'm not sure AA merits a place instead of Bennett on this seasons form. I'd even say that if 'tactical discipline' is an issue for you then AA shouldn't be out wide at all.
  14. Blue Plaque at 331 Audley Range This is an old thread but I've been reading Wainwright's biography recently and I didn't realise he was the founder member of the BRFC Supporters Club. There's a picture of him with Eric Robson(the man who did the BBC Documentaries on Wainwright in the mid-1980's) in the book stood on the centre circle at Ewood Park towards the end of AW's life. Can't find it on t'net though sadly. Wainwright called it his 'favourite piece of grass'.
  15. England play half decent team and get beat shocker. And to think Deli Alli was in the paper the other day saying we could win Euro's in 2020. Deluded.
  16. ….even harsher to drop Bennett who has probably been our best player this season.
  17. When will you admit that you need help? #prayforJAL
  18. We need that 'laughter' emoji back as soon as possible.
  19. Why, is everything on here fact? Is everything in the transfer thread that has been taken from newspapers, fact? Anyway, read the next few words after the one's you highlighted.
  20. Williams would be my choice. He's the better defender, which we need on the side that Mowbray likes to play one of his 'two and half attackers'.
  21. It was in one of the nationals. Obviously it isn't fact, which is why the word open was in inverted comma but if he was increasing his pay and moving to a club likely to be challenging for the Prem you could believe it to be true.
