  1. Agreed, unless Mowbray has decided to sell Dack to finance the rebuild as he hinted at during the fans forum a few months ago.
  2. Agreed. AA just watched as their lad put the cross in for Swans 1st goal on Sunday. I suppose that's the price of playing 4231. There's very little protection for the full backs.
  3. Delighted for them. Fully deserved - a team that plays with passion.
  4. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/05/07/report-bradley-dacks-18m-price-tag-puts-off-west-ham-and-crystal/ It's s begun....
  5. Rankin Costello man of the match according to the LT. Sounds like he's another who could join the 1st team ranks next season.
  6. I hope Mowbray hasn't had a re-think. The two goals we gave away on Sunday were a joke and both the fault of the CB's.
  7. Linked with him all last summer by Sharpe iirc, so it's obviously a name that he's had confirmed as us being interested in (or we were last summer) Sharpe doesn't tend to do speculation.
  8. Got a link? How is your mate anyway, still desperate to sign for the real Rovers?
  9. "Who's the b*sta*rd in the black"? We scored the most penalties in the league this season with 9. HOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFF - Long balls per game for Rovers = 83 (joint 2nd highest in league) Ipswich hoofed the most with 87 per game. Swansea the least with 58 per game.
  10. Further to my earlier post.... Crosses per game - 16 (joint 2nd lowest in the league). Sheff Utd put in the most crosses with 25 per game (Billy Sharpe is delighted with that stat - easy to score tap-ins when the ball is fizzing across the 6 yard box regularly). Not only do we not put many crosses in, when we do they are very, very poor. Armstrong can't cross it, Rothwell always runs inside, Chapman will be lucky to start - so it's left to our full backs - none of whom can cross it. We have lots of central attacking midfielders but none that are natural out wide ( apart from Chapman who will never start). I think we are crying out for an Alan Judge-type, someone who can deliver quality into the box. Beside Conway (who is probably off) there is no-one in the team who can do it.
  11. I'd imagine that would have made absolutely no difference. It would still have meant home fans and away fans mingling at the back of the DE. The only way to avoid trouble would have been to hold the away fans back.
  12. Chorley beat Altrincham on pens yesterday to reach the final of the Play-Offs. They'll be at home to Spennymoor on the 12th. Win that and they're in the Conference. https://www.chorleyfc.com/2019/05/05/magpies-recap-50/ AFC Fylde beat Tim Flowers' Solihull Moors team to reach the Wembley Play-Off final against Salford Citeh. Win that and they join B/pool, Fleetwood, and Morecambe in the new hotbed of English league football! http://www.afcfylde.co.uk/report-phillys-fantastic-fizzer-sets-fylde-final/
  13. Evans (who had a good 2nd half) only went off in the 74th minute. Davenport was excellent from 45 mins onwards.
  14. 2.5 attackers. There was no room at the Inn for two wide men who wanted to attack.
  15. I'm just glad we saw the end of his '2.5 attackers' dullard bullshit. He proved himself wrong in the end. That's is always the worry with Mowbray, he thinks he's some kind of tactical genius reinventing the wheel when in fact he just talks a lot of shite. If he keeps it simple next season and plays people in their proper positions we may have a chance.
  16. Reading some of the posts on here you'd think we had Liverpool's forward line. We certainly have some potential but we don't have anywhere near the quality of Norwich, Villa, Derby etc. Dack and Graham are proven quality at this level, none of the rest are. Rothwell has the most potential but he will need a full season in the team to see if he can provide goals and assists on a weekly basis. I think Chapman will continue to be an impact player and that AA has about 1 really good game in 5 and lots of very average ones in between. BB is not proven. The midfield has Evans, EB, Davenport and Travis. Evans and Bennett are average Championship players and the other two have the potential to be quality but are nowhere near proven over a season. They are both young and their form will dip as it mostly always does with young lads. At the back we are very average. Lenihan is quality IMO, the rest go from bad to mediocre. The GK's simply aren't good enough. So, agree to some extent with your post but there are SOME quality players to build a team around, just not many. The spine needs strengthening massively and we probably lack at least one quality creative midfielder and a top quality striker to replace the ageing Graham. Mowbray has stressed the need to bring in quality 1st teamers so he probably mostly agrees with you. He has also stressed the need to bring in experienced players to go with the young lads of which there are many. There aren't many in their prime in that squad, they are mostly all young or the wrong side of 30.
  17. Rothwell AA and Chapman can play wide. None of those are consistently good. We need better than AA and Mogga has never fancied Chapman as a starter. I'd be surprised if he doesn't sign another wide player this summer after missing out on Freeman and Celina last summer.
  18. I'd still like us to sign Alan Judge. He's the kind of creative Att Mid we could do with.
  19. @Herbie6590 If V12 are doing ours will Rovers absorb the costs like Barnsley have. I'm guessing Rovers haven't announced it yet if no-one knows.
