  1. Anyone know which finance company is going to be doing the Direct Debits now Zebra have gone bust, and will it be 0% finance?
  2. https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/teams/blackburn-rovers/11712261/blackburn-rovers-2-2-swansea Highlights. Dreadful defending from Williams and Lenihan for the goals.
  3. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/04/30/blackburn-look-at-non-league-ace-joe-malkin/ Another one for the future if true. I remember his dad.
  4. I think we have some genuine quality in that squad now and some good young Championship players who will only get better. Davenport, Travis, Lenihan, Dack, Rothwell all have the ability to be quality 1st team Championship players. Chapman, Butterworth, Armstrong, Nyambe, Raya, Bell all look at least to be Championship squad players. ( I think Butterworth will be the best of the lot) What's missing is 4 or 5 quality 1st teamers to go with the first group of players. I think we'll probably get 2 or 3 as the LT said the other day that 'wholesale arrivals aren’t expected this summer' GK, RB or LB, CB, LM, CF are hopefully the positions being looked at.
  5. 3 points off and would have been 16th but for the Brum 9pt deduction. I may have been slightly out with the away performances ?
  6. New No.1 keeper desperately needed. Leuts is poor and Raya just never seems to eradicate the costly errors. Mowbray wanted one last summer but didn't deliver. He certainly needs one this summer. Hope it's not Hart.
  7. I think it's the older heads who will be jettisoned this summer - or at least should be. Conway, Rodwell, Smallwood and Mulgrew all appear to be out of favour. Rodwell and Conway are out of contract and I'd be surprised if Smallwood and Mulgrew weren't offered around to other clubs. I think he'll keep Evans to battle it out with Travis, Davenport and AN Other for the CM roles. Graham he'll keep - POTY and with 14 goals he's had a great season.
  8. That run in the 2nd half summed Rothwell up... he picks it up on the edge of his own box, leaves 2 or 3 for dead (including McBurnie who tried to scythe him down but wasn't quick enough) runs the full length of the pitch and then instead of playing in Dack with a simple ball he overhits it nearly out of play. He does the hard part then gets the weight of the pass wrong. He did it a few times. Amazing talent with the ball at his feet but needs to improve his passing. He'd be too good for us if he gets the passing bit right.
  9. A tale of two Mowbray's. First half the usual Mowbray bore-fest - sitting back and letting the opposition dictate and making us look clueless. Second half - we got after them, Davenport and Evans rattled a few and Rothwell kept running at them. It was actually proper football. Swansea were on the back foot instead of taking the piss like they had the 1st half. The 2nd half is what we want to see, not the cowards football of the 1st half. Attack, attack, attack...... We will never go up playing at home the way we did first half. What's that now, 4 goals from open play in the 1st half all season? Dreadful stat and very Mowbray. His teams go out to contain. 2nd half his team had to go out to attack because we were behind. Notice the difference? Lets hope the penny finally drops with Mowbray or I'll be delighted to see him go. I can't bear to watch another season of the those 1st halves. It's fucking awful. Cowards football. More of the 2nd half please. We've got a load of talented young players who need to be allowed to play.
  10. Thought he was really good today, closed down quickly, good range of passing and one cracking shot. Always looked like he had time on the ball.
  11. Proper front foot football this 2nd half. Its been really good to watch.
  12. Dull as dishwater for the most part. Exactly like the rest of the home games. Front foot football my arse! Mogga is a bullshit merchant.
  13. Technically a lot better than us with more idea of what to do with it going forward.
  14. Conway & Rudy for a combined fee of £350k. Them were t'days. Ewood looks resplendent in the sunshiiiiine. Quite a few more on than normal. 2-1 Rovers.
  15. It won't do much for the flex having one of our top earners on the bench doing nowt.
  16. It's great that Waggott has (finally) listened and has increased the age limit for cheaper ST's to 25. Unfortunately for middle-aged men and women they are already well represented at Ewood, it's young adults the club need to attract. Add in the different financial challenges (generally) for young adults and those in middle age and it's a common sense decision the club have made (It's also what most other clubs are doing because they also realise just how damaging it will be in the future if they ignore the demographics of their fanbase). It's disappointing Waggott has again made no attempt to create and market a singing section. With allocated seating it's not as easy as it was back in the days of the terracing to casually stroll up to the area where the singers are and join in. I think he made some kind of promise when he kicked everyone out of the DE so it's disappointing he's once again not followed through (on his promise, not any other way) Re the Direct Debit mentioned in the blurb - is that interest free? I only ask because Barnsley have started using V12 finance after the collapse of Zebra and V12 are charging 0% interest. Are we doing the same? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.? On the subject of rewarding loyalty, Luton offer £50 off for ST holders of 5 consecutive years and £20-25 after two years. Again that is something the club need to introduce. Or, as mentioned elsewhere, a 5% discount after 2 years, 10 % after 5 and 15% after 10. Also the idea of money off beer and food with a ST. Bristol City offer 10%. It's a (very good) start from Waggott but a lot more is needed to be done to reward loyal ST holders. At least we have gone beyond the ignorance of last season with the 'Are you committed' nonsense and Waggott flapping his gums about 'Are Rovers a big club?' just because we didn't sell more last summer. Steady progress...but a few missed opportunities.
  17. Very good, and thanks to all those who've worked hard on it. Good links to all the social media stuff. Is the Youtube channel the official Rovers channel? Could there be an additional link to unofficial stuff like all the 60's/70's/80's/90's match stuff that is out there?
