  1. Prediction - @Butty to quote his own predictions and say he's predicted well.
  2. He also said "I couldn’t settle in Italy – it was like living in a foreign country".
  3. Is Mowbray the man to develop Rothwell?
  4. Mowbray is a very cautious coach, as has been said from the start of his Ewood reign.. His first thought is defensive, how can his team contain the opposition. His comments on the Oldham full back are legendary. Now his comments on Evans/Smallwood are right up there, especially when you factor in the last time he dropped them was the last time we won. Our goals against column prove him wrong anyway. I'll be delighted when he leaves Rovers and is replaced with a manager who takes a more positive approach. Mowbray plays cowards football.
  5. Dack has consistently scored goals throughout his career. He's proved himself. Rothwell now needs to prove himself in a consistent basis. To do that he needs a manager who believes in him.
  6. Quickest player a the club according to one of the players in those '5 minutes with' things they do on the official site.
  7. 2 wins in 12, the worst away defence in the whole of the football league, some appalling team selections and tactics and £7m on a cart horse. Yep, weird point. You enjoy the win, you can discuss it with all the football managers you know like Jose and Jurgen on your WhatsApp group?or should that be WaltsApp. ?
  8. I'd destroy him and I've got gout.
  9. The Walterbot has malfunctioned.
  10. Frightening pace by Rothwell to get away and then a sublime finish. Good job Mowbray appreciates talent and skill.
  11. You really are giddy after our 2nd win in 12. Its OK, let all the frustration out, it can't have been easy watching us constantly lose with your current hero Moggadon at the helm? See you in October when he wins again?
  12. That excludes you then Walter.
  13. Haha, you're back after a rare win.
  14. Even a man as seemingly clueless as Mowbray must now be able to work out which players are on the pitch when Rovers get their best results...and which players aren't. If Rothwell is as good as people say tonight then he has been criminally underused. Likewise, Mulgrew not playing always seems to coincide with our best defensive displays. Travis always seems to play when we play at our best. So do Dack and Graham. Reed hasn't been given enough games in his favoured position to tell one way or another. There's the nucleus of a decent outfit there for a good manager to work with. Hopefully we'll get one soon.
  15. The only time we seem to keep clean sheets is when Lenihan is playing and Mulgrew isn't.
  16. Well in Rothwell. Sounds like Mowbray has actually got the team on the front foot for once instead of saying he will then doing the opposite.
  17. Johnson signed Nuttall.
  18. I've got no criticism of anything that's been raised and every single thing on those forum notes is valid. They are all issues that need addressing. My concern is there are obvious follow up questions to the vague answers given. Example - Waggott saying they will 'keep prices competetive' in order to encourage support from the 18-25 age group. They aren't competetive, that's the whole point and is why attendances are declining for that age group.
  19. I like to think I'm a tolerant human being but if anyone thinks they can diss Love Island and get away with it they can think again.
  20. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17559577.mowbary-admits-surprise-at-rovers-post-january-dip-in-form/ Has he mentioned 'fine margins'? The new narrative is in full swing. We've got the worst away defence in English professional football. Fine margins. Yet he admits our good start had everything to do with momentum from last season. What will happen at the beginning of next season when there isn't any momentum? With Mowbray in charge I think we can all guess. Lets be honest, his work in the transfer market won't save him and he's a tactical amoeba. Tony 'I like 2 and a half attackers' Mowbray. Who the F@*k says that?
  21. He is a quality footballer, he is not a good defender. He's actually become a very poor defender. His poor positioning, lack of pace to recover and then badly-judged sliding tackle to give away a penalty on Saturday just about sums him up. Agree on Lenihan, his ability on the ball means he's no way a centre mid.nterestingly I was told that they had to work quite hard to convince Lenihan that his future was as a centre back, he really wanted to be a Roy Keane type midfielder. No reason why he can't be. He's told to play raking 60 yard diagonals to Graham, that's our only tactic. If you had Roy Keane doing that every week he'd not look very good. Lenihan is mobile, hard as nails, never loses a 50-50 and is capable of passing the ball. Evans and Smallwood do nothing that Lenihan couldn't do, and I'd suggest he would protect the back four a lot better than Evans and Smallwood simply because he is mobile. The 'Lenihan isn't a great footballer' argument is overblown. Mowbray likes footballing CB's and Lenihan is a decent footballer. If two new CB's are signed in the summer and we go to one DM instead of two I would give Lenihan a run of games there. He covers the ground which is what you need in that position.
  22. I think there's an 'at' missing after 'getting'. It's still meaningless drivel.
  23. I love that Sharpe has got himself an 'exclusive'. He's gone full tabloid. Dack's a bit of a Gazza manchild. He's looked overweight for a few months and like you say doesn't appear to look after himself. He looked a very good Championship player early season when he was in good nick. Now he looks like a talented Sunday League piss head.
