  1. How do we know Rovers moved the PNE game? And do we know why?
  2. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17441542.no-worries-for-mowbray-despite-stretched-rovers-squad/ His comments on the recent run of defeats sum up his complacency. Apparently the Brentford game showed just what a good team we can be for 70 mins ? And don't judge him on the 1st half v boro Only judge him on the good games? Kean-esque. ?
  3. It's amazing how upset some folk get by a massive 4% of the silent majority wanting Mowbray out. If it ever gets to 10% there will be people setting themselves on fire and jumping off the Riverside.
  4. It doesn't really illustrate anything except your lack of coherent arguments and your need to imagine a silent majority that share your own view....precisely because you have no coherent arguments. The people I'm 'arguing' with seem to have that in common with you. I voted remain and not Mogxit by the way. Please try to keep up?
  5. Not as good in the transfer market as Bowyer and Bowyer didn't need to take us up because he actually saved us from going down.
  6. Eh? Rothwell never plays. That's a fact. You don't seem to be able to back your claims up. Disappointing.
  7. Again though you're not engaging with the reasons people have given for not being totally enamoured with him. And only about 5 people out of 120 actually want him sacked so I'm not sure what you're ranting about?
  8. Chapman won't play, Rothwell never plays and Bell can't defend. Dack is good. So when you said he'd invested in young hungry players what you didn't say was they couldn't get a game or were mainly a bit shit. I just finished your sentence for you. I notice you missed out BB. That wouldn't have done your argument much good so you were wise to leave him out. We'll not mention the price. ?
  9. I think most peoples gripes are a bit more considered than losing a few games. Try reading them.
  10. The 'dreadful' side he inherited still make up half of the team...and the majority of the good players. Invested in young hungry players? Are you referring to Dack's breakfast habits? I only ask because the majority of the young hungry players he's signed can't get a game or aren't very good. Reactionary or ill informed?
  11. Why are you sad that people have a different opinion to you?
  12. Only a third of those 122 posters think he's doing a good job. I don't think you can extrapolate a silent majority from that. Have you got a link to this overall fan sentiment survey you've done that represents the majority of the fan base?
  13. He'd fit in well.
  14. So you're undecided?
  15. Positives: We've got enough points to stay up. The team spirit and general harmony around the club. Home form Negatives: Shocking defence that costs us points most weeks. Mowbray's complacent attitude to defence that costs us points most weeks. Poor recruitment in general. Poor quality of football with emphasis on inability to pass the ball. Away form Constantly playing people out of position. ................................................................... He deserves the summer and the early part of next season as a reward for turning the club around. Unfortunately I can't say I have much faith in him taking us any further. The football is poor, the defence is worse and the recruitment is generally shit. His attitude is very complacent and he lacks a winners mentality IMO.
  16. Exactly, if it is make or break for Mowbray this summer and he can't afford decent British players then he's fooked. He's not going to be able to set up a euro scouting system in 3 months without any scouts. It really still is a joke of a club.
  17. They committed £10m last summer without recouping any money from sales. For a Championship club without parachute payments that is a huge amount of money. Mowbray said he still had money left too. I'd bet the Assombolonga bid was real and that as Mowbray indicated we couldn't afford the wages. I think they trust Mowbray. However, that trust may be eroding the more BB fails to deliver.
  18. I think you've identified the flaw in the plan.
  19. Mowbray has never acknowledged anything is his fault. In the interview you mention he was bemoaning the fact we don't have a foreign scout and that Venkys needed to invest in the infrastructure. He was putting any blame he was getting firmly at Venky's door. Tony doesn't do culpability.
  20. None of us know what Mowbray's targets were so its hard to say if expectations have been met. He came out with a quote a month or two ago about 'educating' Venkys to the need for a 'slow build'. That would suggest they want promotion ASAP and have told him as much. It would also explain the sudden willingness from them to spend big money. He may not be under pressure but I doubt they'll be happy with 19th place or wherever we end up and getting smashed away from home every other week. In the post match interview yesterday he looked embarrassed and out of excuses, and so he should. That first half was pathetic.
  21. I can't remember but it hasn't improved in the last two years. Yesterday's passing was a absymal.
  22. Mowbray said BB will be a 'superstar' for many years at Rovers and that we should forget about the price. These aren't the words of someone trying to distance themselves from responsibility for the signing. Quite the opposite.
