Very happy with the last two performances - these games against weak opposition are exactly the kind of games we used to throw points away on by not being ruthless enough. An added bonus is we're not as goal-shy as I feared we might be. However. I refuse to buy into the hype until we get some cover for GK and another LB - Bell has done well but there's been less pressure on him. If we can keep it up for the next month or so I'll buy into it more but for now I will be cautiously optimistic.

I hope that the faith in the keeper allows the defence going forwards to stop being so frantic as they have in the past. So far I like what I've seen of him, though I have watched Walton for the last year so my idea of what an acceptable keeper should be is probably a bit lower than usual.

Who would blame him - criminally overlooked by TM who looks for any excuse to not play him.

If he persists like this for 3 more years we will waste a generation of decent youth and end up in an Ipswich/Mick McCarthy situation where we plummet because he's squandered the money we do have on players who are already at their ceiling.

Not at all, but I do think we're better off both in the short and long term reducing the goals conceded - we can't go on conceding 2 a game and expecting results. If we can reduce that number significantly hopefully we won't have to rely on the front 3 as heavily.

If he has any sense he'll have told him that that has got him a start and has told the 3 coming on it's up to them to prove him otherwise.

Which is fair enough. What isn't though, is the lack of transparency over what's going on. If there is a stock issue say there is a stock issue, if it's only online say it's only online and why - people understand there is a global crisis going on and whilst disappointed will wait. What they don't like is being strung along by a wall of silence. However the state of the stadium and the grounds is unrelated to that point and there isn't a good excuse at all for it regardless of circumstances.

From what I've seen people have said that 3 is the bare minimum (primarily 2 CB's, 1 LB), not that we don't need more. If TM can get all those quoted then even better. Dack and Nyambe leaving on frees at the end of the season is a real possibility now though iirc so we really need to be getting on top of that as well.

I hope we've moved on from Kipre tbh. This is dragging on way too long and he clearly doesn't want to be here, so move on to the next target. Can see this season going the exact same as the end of last. Have lots of possession, do next to nothing with it, concede the second the opposition put pressure on. Every year is the same under TM and the exact reason it's impossible to ever get excited. This is going to be a long season imo.
