  1. Can see JDT walking blaming the owners if this continues. Broughton/Waggott with more huge questions - yes we signed players but if they can't come into the team because they're either not good enough or permanently injured we'd have been better off not signing everyone. Absolutely sick of this era of the club - I'd consider League Two football for a bit if it meant getting competent owners who gave a damn.
  2. He should have had an experienced CB to play there instead of another U21, but our management structure/owners are amateur at best.
  3. Awesome... so we get rid of one of the best keepers in the league so we're now left with 2 duds. Fan-flipping-tastic
  4. Shades of Coyle's Rovers at the moment. JDT has a lot of benefit from the doubt from the fan base but how many more batterings before that changes?
  5. Was always going to happen. It's easy to forget how young he is and it's rare that players that age maintain performances over a long run of games. Could do with a rest but who do you even replace him with?
  6. Important to note that both of those teams changed manager so not really the same as one team continuing to do the same thing.
  7. Awful again. JDT wants to play good football but it just isn't sustainable with this squad and it becomes suicidal. We're leaking goals for fun and nothing seems to be changing. Can't expect to improve when you spend your limited budget on a bunch of sicknotes.
  8. Not necessarily comparing us to these teams but we're showing hallmarks of our last 2 relegation teams. Decent enough up top but leak goals for fun. That said, when your team relies entirely on freebies and kids it's inevitable that you'll get pulled down into a relegation fight eventually.
  9. At the end of the day, this is what you get with owners with zero ambition. Continuing to rely on the academy as a crutch only sends you in one direction. With the summer signings barely featuring we're the same team as last season with a glaring weakness at both ends of the pitch. Venkys out.
  10. Another season wasted. Venkys out.
  11. What a difference a manager with a winner's mentality brings! What a performance!
  12. Regardless of the ref, England have been abysmal and bu far the worse team. Granted I only saw since the 60th minute, but I've seen a single shot in that entire time. Spain have created chance after chance and deserve to win.
  13. It's just going to result in too many injuries and a reduction in quality in the long run.
  14. I always thought the same of Tugay too. I watched a thing a while ago on Messi at Barca and they analysed how he created significantly more space barely moving and choosing his moments compared to everyone else running about. Sign of a special player for sure.
  15. Similarly you can't expect him to make up for Diaz's goals in his first full senior season. Usually you would be expected a player in his position to be contributing the odd goal here or there off the bench, not be leading the line.
  16. Going into the season with Dolan, Markanday and Leonard as our front three screams relegation battle. After the positivity of June this is just depressing. Not a chance we'll be anywhere near where we were last year.
  17. The colours are alright but that pattern is awful, looks like someone wallpapered over the shirt with no thought of its shape.
  18. The sponsor is still awful looking (aside from morally questionable) and that collar is nasty - sky blue doesn't work at all. It's a no from me.
  19. Well, that's another season where I won't be buying any shirts. I don't know who is in charge of getting sponsors etc but Recoverite aside I can't think of any since we came down to this league which didn't seem like an awful option from a brand standpoint.
  20. The cup runs were fine (even if we did throw the quarter final) but I'd have traded both of them for the extra point we needed. At the end of the day we're not going to win either cup so the league has to take priority.
  21. Yeah, I'll have really fond memories of a season where we got absolutely humiliated by Burnley, Preston, relegated Reading, Rotherham, Luton, Coventry etc, played some of the worst football I've ever seen for over half a season and blew the chance of play-offs by winning 1 "cup final" out of 9. Not a chance we finish any higher than this next season, especially with the teams coming down and I have no faith that this football is at all effective over a season at this level.
  22. Because even in the event that we won, the chances of us actually getting into the top 6 was remote at best. Way more pressure on Millwall than us.
  23. We haven't been "done over" by anyone but our own shocking football over the past 6 weeks. They don't get a pass because they decided to play once it didn't matter despite having it in their own hands until about a week ago. We have a goal difference of -2 - that's what ended our season.
  24. Play-offs is still better than we've ever managed and ever will with Venky's in charge.
  25. Yeah, the cure is having our bottlejobs as competitors
