  1. Yep, we have no ability to get back into games and now we've lost our ability to hold teams out. If we keep JDT we will be in a relegation battle before we know it.
  2. We barely beat Boro when they were awful, and it certainly looks like our one-dimensional, hyper-negative football has been sussed out. Possibly one of those where we luck out, but a pasting and the pressure cranking up on JDT is more likely. In any case, I'll keep an eye on the score but I'm done spending money just to watch us make no effort to actually try to do anything. The whole JDT style of football that was promised is a complete myth - even Big Sam was more positive.
  3. To lose the threat going forward we'd have to have had one to begin with.
  4. Stop looking at the position and look at the number of losses, then look at how many of those losses where we conceded 3 or more, or had basically no shots. We are in even more false a position than last year, any owners with ambition would pot him and go for broke whilst we have a chance.
  5. Get JDT gone. Yeg another no show away from home where we make no effort to actually win the game. The fact we are where we are in the league is criminal and purely on luck rather than judgement.
  6. At least Chris Brown could bring others into the game. Hirst might genuinely be the most ineffective player at the club.
  7. You actually play the ball quickly rather than plodding around the back.
  8. The football we play is pure entertainment thievery. We create nothing and either grind out a fluke and sit on the lead or we get smacked about without a hope. It's amazing they even show us tbh.
  9. I thought it was more of a penalty than France's first. You ever tried to keep running when someone kicks one leg into the other?
  10. You try running when someone kicks your legs into each other
  11. Taking Di Maria off has cost them the game
  12. At least the first was an actual trip... that's just a full on dive
  13. So if they win today that's one defeat in 43? Bad team though apparently.
  14. Stuff like this is why England won't win anything. Southgate is far too one-dimensional.
  15. A Dutch side that people were raving about coming out of the group stage and a Croatia side that put out Brazil? I think both could beat France. Croatia in particular deserve a lot more praise.
  16. All tournament you could see Messi wanted this badly, and despite their average squad you can see how every player buys into the cause. France should never have made it past England or Morocco so no surprise they haven't shown up. Not over yet though.
  17. Good man, awful manager. Just an international Tony Mowbray - came in giving it all this about how he'd pick people on form and then in our hour of need throws on the likes of Mount and Sterling who have offered nothing this season for club or country. Most "big" nations make a change after failure - we're about to let him have a 4th. Wouldn't get anywhere near a top division side. My Scottish and Welsh friends will be loving this news.
  18. Maybe I'm missing something as I'm unable to watch it and just popped in to check the score, but everyone seems to be incredible positive despite the fact from the outside it looks like we're offering nothing and fluked a goal? Anyone got a quick summary?
  19. 3 or 4-0 to Norwich for me. We're awful away from home and they have a manager with brain cells. Another game where we have about 2 shots off target all game but it will be hailed as positive because we're a "young team".
  20. The problem is when we lose, we don't just lose, we get slaughtered. Every, single. time. It's all well and good having a way of playing but if that isn't working you have to be able to revert to a style that wins games. The fact that he dismisses the last two games as just another game after absolute hammerings screams that he doesn't know (or care) how important those games are, so needs to go.
  21. Preston have struggled to score all season and we let in FOUR and counting? Get him gone NOW.
  22. In an even more false position than last season. This team loses easily with alarming regularity and will plummet.
  23. ZERO shots on target again in two of the biggest games of the season. That would get any manager at any other club in England fired on the spot. I swear to god if he has that grin on his face afterwards I'm going to explode.
  24. Homestly if this is what a full month's training camp does get rid of him at half time. The performance against Burnley was unforgivable and to get worse after implementing your vision? Abysmal
  25. I agree with the issues in midfield, but I also think it's a tempo and aggression thing. This England squad is far, far more potent when pushing teams back into their own boxes, but Gareth is obsessed with sitting back and protecting one goal lead or even draws when it isn't necessary. In the Euros final we started off aggressively and dominated the first 5 minutes or so, pushing the wing backs high - got the goal and then sat back and offered no attacking threat for the rest of the game. I'm not saying you can keep that level of football up for 90 minutes but you use it to get at least another before you start game managment. Again against Germany in the Nation's League - let Germany dictate the game. Suddenly we throw everything at them and score 3 times in 10 or so minutes, because we don't allow teams out when we're pressing them back. Even against Iran, we looked ordinary until the first goal, but then we went for the jugular. I just don't get why we didn't even bother trying last night. He leaves some of our most creative players on the bench and starts people like Sterling and Mount who have had awful seasons and performances for club and country. Like Mogga, he's a dinosaur and needs potting regardless of the tournament, with someone coming in who can take advantage of the talent that's there.
