  1. Yeh, I thought it looked like his achilles tendon when it happened. If it's torn and the tendon has gone up his calf, it'll be 6 to 9 months. Really feel for the lad.
  2. Identical rigger. All you can see on the blue satin are the grounds I went to written in black pen. The heady days of The Shay, Field Mill and Boothferry Park!
  3. Best since West Brom when Raya got booted in the face by that filthy Dingle. So chuffed, fist pump and get in!
  4. No. I have an old satin scarf that I used to wear round my wrist to games in the early seventies. I always take it with me to big games and we seldom lose. It's called the lucky scarf! (I wear it round my neck though!)
  5. Without the Wharton injury and Lenihan sending off, we'd have won that today. In the circumstances, a brilliant, hard earned point.
  6. Anyone else had an issue today? I paid my tenner and watched the first half fine. At halftime my screen went blank, when I tried to refresh or return to 'match day' I got a box stating Access Denied and asking for subscription again. I went on the chat function whilst listening on the radio and after about 15 minutes of them looking into it, I got a box of instructions which by the time I'd carried them all out the game would be over, so I asked for a refund. At this point I got another box with the email address. It's probably done my blood pressure a favour as it happens, in respect of the match but that's not the point. Terrible customer service.
  7. I agree. We've managed to scramble together 6 points from 2 shit performances. We should all be dancing in the streets because a statistic like that has been a long time coming!
  8. I guess you won't be going for a post lockdown pint in Bermondsey tonight?
  9. Just think if we could just beat Brentford and Bristol City?........
  10. TFFT, second game in a row. Well done Rovers, perhaps we're turning the corner.
  11. no problem, what are you on about. We're in quarters and they're in halves: piece of cake! Irrespective, how the hell did Brereton miss that early chance or was an own goal attempt?
  12. Each to their own but I can't get my head around why a pretty girl would do such a thing. I once had an employee who was covered in tattoos and had his name on his neck. He was astounded when we first met on the job and I immediately knew his name was Billy. Mind you, the depot was in Lowerhouse, which could have explained his vague astonishment and IQ.
  13. Me too. Add ironmongery/ piercings to the list also.
  14. To be fair, our club's hardly been run 'normally' in the true sense of the word for the past 10 years, so who knows? There may have been other factors involved in Brereton's transfer that weren't 'normal' either. I can't get my head around how a player who looked and performed more like Norman Wisdom for 2 years and couldn't trap a bag of cement, now resembles a decent footballer in the making. Long may it continue.
  15. Millwall have drawn all 5 of their past 5 games. An early goal would be great for us, alternatively we need to be prepared to sit in and be patient if needs be. I'll stick my neck out and predict a 3-1 victory for us, with a couple of goals coming in the last 10 mins.
  16. I don't see Arma as being clinical but he's certainly got a talent for hitting the target from 10 yards out and beyond. It will be interesting to see how he links up with Dack in our current way of playing. Arma has certainly produced the goods since Bradley has been missing but personally I feel real difference has been since the absence of Danny Graham. Our style of play has altered, that's the key for me. Bring back The Dack!
  17. aye, him too! Ain't it great? Oh, and WE're Blackburn Rovers and WE're on our way back!
  18. Mowbray had a dream, to build a football team. We had no money so we blooded some players of our own, Darragh at the back and Dolan in attack, WE're Blackburn Rovers and WE're on our way back!!!! (slight poetic licence!)
  19. Having got the Barnsley fixture out of our system but still finished up with 3 points, I'd expect a completely different type of approach from Millwall. Whereas Barnsley did their best to take the game to us, I'd really expect Millwall to sit deep and invite us on, hoping to hit us on the break and at worst safeguard a point. We really do need to win this fixture to throw a marker down. After this we've got Bristol City and Brentford away. 7 points from the next 3 fixtures and we'd really be set up to be in with a shout.
