  1. There is worse than that one picture I sent and all I would ask is that someone in charge of ground maintenance takes a look and perhaps sorts just a general tidy up out. If this needs crowd funding, I am sure it can be arranged.
  2. A quick message to this guy to gauge the interest, could be a good idea. I am happy to do it, but if anyone has any contact at the club, particularly in the comercial department, can they ask them to give this a go?
  3. With the right kind of marketing, I bet the Rovers TV subscriptions in Chile at £10 per game, would go through the roof. Does anyone know, if this market has been tapped, as done the right way, it could help with the new contract deal BBD is looking for?
  4. Maybe there are worse, but I bet there is nothing to compare it to, from clubs with Billionaire owners. As is stated, there is no excuse for it, as even FFP does not come into play, when spending money on ground upkeep.
  5. Nothing wrong with nostalgia in the Riverside. I spent my first few years supporting Rovers there and have nothing but fond memories. There is still no excuse for letting it decay and have rubbish strewn around. I’m sure a little TLC would not go amiss and not result in a disproportionate increase in prices.
  6. I think people are conveniently forgetting that. I don’t want to be a doom monger amongst this great run we are having, but do not forget the crazy hap hazzard way, the owners have run this club. This has still not changed and never will under these people. We do not find ourselves on the brink financially because of the fans, it is purely down to the people who they have appointed and the buck stops with them.
  7. It’s hard to believe this is even debatable. Even when we had players in the England side, I never got anywhere near the feeling I get when Rovers, win or are doing well.
  8. I do agree and hope a solution can be found. What a pity it would be to see a great opportunity bypass us.
  9. Exactly and calls into question yet again, where the priorities lie.
  10. Some pictures emerged yesterday of some awful neglect, with regards to the upkeep and maintenance of the riverside. The club should already be aware of it, as it is their responsibility to ensure the ground is kept safe, clean and tidy. These pictures shows total neglect in that respect. Hopefully something will be done about it, as this sort of thing is unacceptable.
  11. This is where the funds from the Armstrong sale and the sale of the STC could be used to offer the 4 players the deals they crave and give us a fighting chance. It is literally a heads I win, tails I win scenario, as a promotion brings the riches that mean we can afford these increases. Fail to make it and the extended contracts mean a sale in the summer, increase the value of each and every one. As other have already mentioned, breaking this side up now, would surely make no sense, as yesterday’s performance, showed we are the real deal, so let’s not pass it up, by doing something stupid. One other quick note, had we not thrown the 4 points away in the Luton and Coventry games, we would now be league leaders. That’s how good we currently are.
  12. They have a decidedly dodgy keeper and we need to exploit that. Any hoght ball into the box, he has literally fumbled. Nickname Dracula. Scared of crosses?
  13. Im not sure he remembers what he has posted, as there are lots of contradictions.
  14. You better watch, you better beware, he's good on the ground, he's good in the air, Santa Cruz is coming to town.
  15. That's a lot of money for a pussy cat.
  16. Despite that, with so many players having caught it, we have seen games call d off this week and one of the premier league managers, suggesting all this weekend’s fixtures be postponed.
  17. I’m sure that was the opinion of plenty the season before last, yet if we are to believe the experts, this new variant is far more contagious. I don’t think it’s me overreacting to be honest, that’s not my mindset.
  18. It could end up quite tricky this, as we have an early start next year, due to the break for the world cup, so a break in the games, could end up meaning a cancelled season.
  19. From what I am reading TV and advertising money, is far more important that attracting supporters to the games. Maybe we should flatten the stands and ban fans and concentrate on getting everyone signed up to I Follow/ Rovers TV and market them to death. No need for safety certificates, stewards, maintenance to the ground, catering, office staff, ticketing costs etc and the players get used to playing in conditions like last year. All I can say is WTF.
  20. Aided and abetted by something being done by the club, to encourage this and we will be there.
  21. Which adds no weight to the argument that it’s the fans fault, attendances are down. Some people simply have no idea.
  22. No one to blame other than Venky's for the drop off in attendances, no matter which way you look at it. For any so called fan to lay the blame anywhere else, is quite frankly appalling.
  23. We can only hope that is the case, as like you, I was also hopeful of that. Although the team are performing at the minute, I think most of us know that we will get more of the same stuff served up for the last 5 years, unless there really is a big overhaul.
