Jon Dahl Tomasson - no longer Sweden coach
lraC replied to Tom's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I was at the beam back at Ewood with my son and we were both amazed that spot kick was not given. We watched it back on Match of the day on Saturday night and Alan Hansen said, " I feel sorry for the manager, the players and all the supporters, as you will never see a clearer penalty in your life". Even taking into account my blue & White bias, in over 50 years of watching football, it was and still remains the most blatant penalty shout, that was turned down, that I have ever seen. -

I was told when we signed him, by someone inside the game, that we would disrupt the dressing room, big time. -

There is a chance I would say. He must be worried, if no one has come in for him. -
It’s about time something better was rolled out. Not too sure if this has been suggested already, but was about offering a 25% discount for next season for all those who buy/ have bought one this season and maybe 15% if you buy a half season ticket.

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

I backed him to score 20 league goals and although I didn't put much on, that's because I am a cautious gambler. The odds being offered were ridiculous and if you consider the old cliche, the bookies rarely get it wrong, there were not too may people who thought he was a good striker, until last season. personally I do think we should sell him now, so long as big money is brought in and the bulk of it is used to bring in the quality we need this season. -
Nice present.

I once got a lift home from a sportsman’s dinner from Frank Worthington. The conversation was almost all about football. When I told Frank I am a Rovers fan, he said keep your eye on young Damian Duff. He will go to the very top.

Usually, but you never know, especially given hoe we paid Newcastle a slice. Maybe if sold within a certain timeframe or above a certain figure, but hopefully we get something.

The league cup semi- final at Old Trafford, was the best I saw him play. Based on that performance, I thought we had a wonder kid, but sadly, it didn't work out for him. -
Game by game for me I guess, due to the season pass not meaning you get all of the games. Throw in the fact that I will get back to the UK for the odd game too and that's the only way I think. Hoping to get back for the first away game at Swansea and make it a family affair, with my son, brother and Grandson, all hoping to go. Hope the allocation is decent, which I think may well be the case.

Daughter in law works there, I wonder if it extends to family?

I went to the first round tie away in Sofia and was therefore guaranteed a ticket, but only found that out, after they were sold out. Luckily one of the players found out and gave me and my mate his complimentary tickets. Great night up there and we were unlucky to lose. second leg was a comedown though.

I would be moving heaven and earth to get the on line portal working. There is no excuse for the mess that is and would not take much money to hire a proper IT expert to sort it. -

Glen does not make things up. FACT -
I spoke to a good friend earlier this week, about a business matter. He is someone I have known for years, but we haven’t spoken for a while. He is literally football mad and Rovers mad. He has two sons, who are almost adults now and both have been brought up asRovers fans and followed the team, all over the country. After we had discussed the business matter, the topic of conversation turned to Rovers. He told me that not only does him and he two sons no longer buy season tickets, they don’t hardly go any more. He went on to tell me that it was directly down to Waggot E Mailing him an abusive reply to a question he had about some small matter that he had an issue with. If Waggot is doing that to a supporter of such ilk, it makes me shudder to think how much other damage he has done. This specifically needs to be pointed out to either Waggot himself or anyone above him, as it is wrecking ball stuff.

It may keep the peace, if the new manager is not from that stable. I know one of the first question Coyle was asked, was if he was associated with Kentaro. He said he had never heard of them, although I think that was a bit wide of the mark. Someone already there to keep and eye on their investment, would be useful. It’s back to Allardyce being replaced by a coach in some ways, although a bit more able to stay out of the limelight.
