  1. The industry standard for website uptime is that your website “should” be up 99% of the time. Breaking that down as hours per year, that means that your site should be down less than 88 hours per year.
  2. Sadly, we have a few too many who just sit back and accept what he decides on and with either very little or even no resistance As we saw yesterday, there were people on here, willing to accept something as significant as the "home end" being closed and would be prepared to just buy a ticket and carry on regardless. It is a same we can't all see what damage Waggott is really doing and rise up as one against it and oust him, before the damage is beyond repair. Believe me, by the time he has finished, it will be.
  3. I just called and got through first time and was answered within seconds I asked for a ticket for the Blackburn end, but was of course told it was closed, so I could only buy one for the Jack Walker Stand. I said I don't like it in there, so thanks anyway. No resistance or any attempt to persuade me to buy one though.
  4. I wonder what will happen for the subscribers to Rovers TV if the website is till not working tonight. The live match was not due to be shown, but commentary was, as assuming they haven't paid the bill, that a breach of contract I would think and maybe a refund is in order. Hope they have paid the Leccy bill, as the floodlights will be needed.
  5. Problem solved. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.alamy.com%2Fstock-photo%2Fcardboard-cutout-fans.html&psig=AOvVaw0XqHhDK67SULw2P0IwomuV&ust=1695895449867000&source=images&cd=vfe&opi=89978449&ved=0CA4QjRxqFwoTCPDBlIHFyoEDFQAAAAAdAAAAABAE
  6. This could be in the plot thickens thread. What do you know?
  7. We might as well switch the next cup tie to the Crown Ground. Far cheaper to run and I am sure some people would still accept that, so long as they could go and cheer on the lads.
  8. Will he play for nowt? We can't afford his wages and probably not all those letters on the back of his shirt, assuming we can afford his shirt.
  9. Why don't we forfeit that match, then we don't run the risk of another home tie and have to pay to open the stadium. After all is said and done, we have forfeited league cup games against Cardiff in the past remember!!!
  10. Good for her. I sincerely hope that our CEO does not increase their season tickets to a level whereby, they simply cannot afford to go anymore. Their support for their team is admirable and I genuinely applaud it, however, make no mistake about it, if they need that loyalty to be repaid at some point, the likes of Waggott will not provide it. Hope your daughter enjoys the match.
  11. Was it £2m for Phillips and the same for the same for TK? I very much doubt that we have been told the truth behind mot of this anyway. I doubt most of what comes out of the club these days.
  12. If you are happy with that and choose to accept that sometimes greed and personal gain, can be responsible for a clubs demise than fair play to you. I like to stand up and fight people who do this to the club, I love though. Hers is a story on why in my opinion, we should fight for what is right. Support for my club, is not simply turning up to the games. Ajax sack director who sanctioned West Ham deals which have left giants in utter chaos (msn.com)
  13. People have definitely kicked up a fuss about that. granted maybe not as many as there have been over this. people also kicked up a fuss about stopping selling programmes and lot's of other things that we have had forced upon us over the years. If some people choose to sit back and accept what is happening here fine, but in my view, if everyone had taken that stand, since the current regime took over, I very much doubt we would now have a club at all.
  14. We can kick up a real stinking fuss, with every move they make of this nature, rather than just accepting our lot. I wonder if the Bury fans regret not standing up to their previous regime a little bit more?
  15. It is very difficult at this stage to come to any other conclusion than Swag himself benefits from reducing what the owners put into the club. Until I am convinced otherwise my theory is a % is paid to him, based on the overall saving. There is no logical explanation to do this, if the saving is indeed around £2k as such a paltry figure, surely makes no difference to the finances of the club. I am sure we could crowd fund that if we had to, but I can't believe it has come to this.
  16. Interesting. Are you a new member or an old member under a new name? Can you expand on the watch this space statement?
  17. I guess the same could be said about the financial decision to pay certain players contracts up and let them leave the club. Also sack the manager and bring an under qualified background staff member in, to give it a go. After all we still had players to cheer and a manager to listen to in post and pre match interviews. Some things have been done to feather the nest of other people and not for the greater good of the club and thankfully, some people spot things like that and quite rightly do not just sit back and accept it.
  18. For what it's worth and again from what other people are saying, Waggott seems to justify his salary, by what he is saving. Slashing the wage bill and not spending on transfers, will no doubt be fed back to India, to show that the bigger picture is, he is worth his £300k. I might not get a reply to my E Mail and he will definitely not admit to the loss, the stand closure causes, but that needs to be fed back to India too, in the event.
  19. Ok, so here is my E Mail. Dear Steve, I write as a very concerned supporter, as things seem to be going from bad to worse with the finances at the club, which looks to be even worse than I thought, given the recent decision to close the Blackburn end for Tomorrow night’s cup game. Just so that you know that I am not just jumping on the band waggon, I have followed the club, though thick and thin, having attended my first game in 1973. If you look back at the old archives from the seventies for example, you will see that things were once so desperate that the club arranged a sponsored run around the perimeter of the pitch, to raise much needed funds. I was a young child at the time, and I took part in that event and begged and pleaded with my family and friends (most who probably could not really afford to) to sponsor me, to take part, just to help to save the club. Pictures of this were published in what was then the Lancashire evening Telegraph, so please fee free to check this event out, which was one amongst many. Anyway, onto the recent decision to close the stand, which I understand from reading other people’s comments, has been done for financial reasons. Can you please advise, exactly how much this saves, as I have a feeling this a big own goal and assuming you have the final say on such matters, consider that to be of your making. I firmly believe, given again, what I have read, that there will be a number of people not attending the match, due to the decision to close the Blackburn end and given that you have stated that you expected a crowd similar to the Walsall fixture, if it ends up lower that, will you stand up and accept responsibility for it? Furthermore, I also consider that we have given up, what advantage a home draw could have brought and therefore the prospects of making it through to the next round. Again, if we go on to lose the tie and miss the opportunity to progress maybe one or two more rounds, will you also accept responsibility for this and acknowledge the cost of this to the club. I have read quite recently that last year’s cup runs, did bring extra revenue to the club and here we are, potentially throwing the chance of that away this season. Finally, given how things on the financial side, do seem to be so desperate, can you give me and my fellow supporters some assurances that we do not need to take to the desperate measure again, to save the club from the financial abyss, that we seem to be currently heading for? Yours faithfully, A very worried supporter.
  20. If it’s so desperate that we need to save £2k to £3K max, that’s definitely tough times. It’s possibly worse than it was back in the eighties. No wonder Sw4aggott is bragging about paying the wages and hiring a new coach. Perhaps we need to point this out and ask for some degree of comfort, once we know the exact figure saved. The club must be on a cliff edge if this is how desperate things have become and we deserve to know.
  21. I guess we won’t know until the crowd is announced, but it could be an idea to check what not opening the Blackburn ends saves, in advance. Waggott has stated that he expects a crowd of 6,000 so is we get 5,000 for example, the maths are easy enough. For those going, I hope he gets it from you large.
  22. Someone who know nothing about traditions and fans feelings, so Pune is correct. The stay away fans may well increase on the back of another crazy decision though, but no way are they to blame.
  23. One other thing to mention here, especially if we lose. Why have we not thought of a way to fill the lower tier of the Blackburn End, instead of emptying it. Surely taking full advantage of being drawn at home, should be explored, as a place in the next round could be worth 10 times more than the saving, he is making here.
  24. Great response that and thanks again for sharing. The figures he provides in response, should be interesting. I am sure with a bit of innovation and competitive pricing, we could have got to 10,000 for this.
