  1. Awesome night. I've doubted JDT at times but now I'm a believer. Whatever happens for rest of this season happens l. But the future is bright and very excited about next season. Squad looking paper thin now so O'brien now would be the icing on the cake.
  2. I suspect they decided answer was no before the hearing. Rovers have perhaps offered a decent defence and the answer is still no but the EFL are working out how they can justify their response.
  3. I thought that if a "deal sheet" was submitted between 9 and 11, it allowed for more time to complete the paperwork. If things were such a rush. Why did we just not submit a deal sheet and then carefully and thoroughly go through the paperwork?
  4. I'd settle for just O'brien now. As each minute passes I'm more and more convinced we didn't sign anyone. This is agony.
  5. Seen a lot of people confidently claim that the O' Brien deal is done. Can anyone with 100% certainty categorically say it is though? Have we ballsed that up aswell.
  6. Amateur hour. Off to bed. I hope to wake up to good news. I doubt it though.
  7. Just announce it. If this delay is because of some self indulgent social media reveal its ridiculous. Fans on tenter hooks. Put us out of our misery.
  8. I'd like a striker but a commanding center midfielder is priority. I know we are struggling for goals but we don't create chances. We need to win the midfield battle, get a foothold in a game, then chances will be created. Not dealing with our lightweight and easily bullied midfield in favour of a striker is like being told your house has subsidence and buying a new pair of curtains. Ofcourse, O,Brien and a striker is dreamland.
  9. I know a lot of the Mowbray come back talk is very much tounge in cheek but I do get frustrated when people judge JDT against TM. TM bloody frustrating, stubborn in his approach and had to go. Unfortunately, we plumped for JDT who is bloody frustrating and stubborn in his approach. He is not an upgrade in my opinion but that is not giving any credit to TM. There were and are other managers available. I'd like a more pragmatic approach.
  10. If you'd have offered me 3rd place in table now I'd have snapped your hand off. The jury is very much still out on JDT though. Some bizarre tactics and selections at times but I will go along for now and see how it unfolds. What I can't forgive is the total bottle job capitulation to our bitter rivals. Forgetting selection, shape and tactics, it was the whole tone, before during and after that has infuriated me. Where was the passion. It appears he has taken the calm heads just another game approach. Kompany on the other hand had then well up for it. They were hungrier and more aggressive than us. They wanted it more. That is nothing to do with ability, experience or parachute payments. And that is unforgivable.
  11. Call me childish, but I always enjoy replacing the click click with the words BUM SNIFF
  12. Would love to hear the away fans blasting out this old classic today... In a town where I was born Lived a man who sailed the seas And the told me of a tale In a town called Burnley Burnley fans eat Bannanas with their feet Bannanas with their feet Bannanas with their feet
  13. I don't think Dack has had a fair crack of the whip to prove his fitness. I have no evidence at all but I do wonder whether he is purposefully frozen out. He will be one of, if not the highest earner. Perhaps he's not in the long term plans at all and they are hoping for him to put in a transfer request in Jan.
  14. Dack doesn't have to play as a 10. In this system he can play left or right. We don't play with out and out wingers, the width will come from the full backs. He has on occasion previously played in a wider role. I wouldn't be writing him off yet.
  15. @glen9mullan only passess on what he knows. To be fair he doesn't dangle cryptic tit bits trying to hook a load of whoppers. If its not Farke it doesnt mean he was wrong, more probable that Waggot and the Vs ballsed up. People on this bored are far too keen to have a go at people who's info passed on in good faith doesn't end up happening. Weeks ago I posted about Woodgate, I haven't heard anything to either persuade or dissuade me from this info. I hope it's wrong but the two separate people who told me are very much well informed. Let's stop the finger pointing please.
  16. Or is his style of play dictated by the type of players he has at his disposal. It would be a gamble but at least we would get a manager with charisma that doesn't talk a glass eye to sleep.
  17. I don't suppose it would cost too much to get Hughes from Bradford. Surely he'd be interested. I'd personally love it.
  18. I don't claim to be ITK at all however I do know a few people within football and sports media. I have heard Jonathan Woodgates name mentioned by 2 people independently of each other. Hope it's just agent lead without real substance.
  19. The clubs marketing for season tickets is all about "one of our own" homegrown talent. Perhaps I am over thinking it and definitely giving Venkys too much credit by having a plan but could Ainsworth have been the plan all along and the local slant marketing wise fits in?
  20. This team is a manifestation of the manager. Devoid of ideas and passion. When did we last score in last min or injury time to win or save a game under TM? We do manage to consistently concede late on.
  21. And this is the issue if he stays on. Will the last fan to leave Ewood please turn out the lights.
  22. If it goes wrong against Stoke is it now time to put pressure on him from the stands? He's very thin skinned as we know. Let Pasha hear how we feel. Let's not forget his infamous comments about walking away when he becomes a burden. That ship sailed years ago, but he's never had to face calls for his head. "Tony, time to go Tony, Tony time to go."
