To succeed, we need to get better at it as you'd expect it would give JDT and Broughton a wider pool of players to look at (although I doubt they'd get to use any money brought in). Same applies with the academy products. If we have genuine aspirations to be in the Premier League then not every player we're bringing through will have the ability to play at that level. This is on the proviso that JDT can use the proceeds.

As well as O'Brien, I feel for both Brierley and Rochdale. It sounds like we'll sign him regardless, but from what I understand, Rochdale had a few players lined up with the money they were going to get from us.
