  1. Would prefer Jon Taylor From Rotherham over Ameobi. Don’t think there’s anyone at all from Bolton i’d take off the top of my head!
  2. Nick pope has been linked with Arsenal, no chance we’d be able too get him. I do think we need to look at bringing in an experienced keeper though too try and get a bit more out of Raya, and someone who could step in when needed. Not sure about Ameobi, i’d prefer Jon Taylor from Rotherham.
  3. As much as I’m a fan of Mowbray, you can’t put a specific time period on things like that... You can understand when a manager first gets a job, give them time to imprint their way of doing things on the team but Mowbray has been here 2 years now. I’m not particularly bothered about the rest of this season, but if we were in too double figures in games played next season after hopefully signing a few players and we were sat in the bottom three, I think we know what we’d be saying on here. It’s a results game at the end of the day..
  4. Yes I did I was at both games. Horrendous performances.. But you can’t expect a team lacking in championship quality like ours does too perform every week, when we aren’t on song we simply don’t have the quality in the squad to sneak a result..
  5. No team goes all season without having a shocking performance, I think we’ve had a few this season admittedly but compared to the Kean,Coyle,Berg and Appleton days we are basically Barcelona.. We don’t have the quality required too be challenging in This league, we got too 8th place and a few points off the playoffs at one point through being an organised team who runs themselves into the ground. We don’t have the quality in the squad too pull a result off when we aren’t on song. Last season we did, we played poor a lot of games but came away with 3 points.. Whenever we’ve played poorly this season we’ve paid the price. When you look at our squad a lot of work still needs too be done, that’s why I stressed the other day how massively important this summer is for us. Mowbray needs to be ruthless, players like Conway and Smallwood should not be anywhere near the first team next season, and are hopefully moved on and replaced well... We’ll see, nervous times ahead this summer..
  6. Just when you get a bit mad with the guy he comes out and shuts us all up by saying all the right things! ?... Too be fair, we were never going to go up this year so giving lads a chance from last season I can understand, for a team full of players playing league one football last season, bar this recent run we haven’t done too bad. If he’s true to his word and gets ruthless in the summer with the lads not good enough to be here, and then replaces them, Then I’ll be expecting a good season next year.. Can we not just end this season now?! ? This summer is going too be massive for us it really is, I’m nervous already.
  7. At times it has been effective, there have been games where the only time we have carried a threat is when the long ball too DG has been held up for Dack to go on a run or Armstrong to get in behind
  8. Yes but think how many of those passes were side too side, not going anywhere. We have a tendency to keep the ball and not do anything with it and then end a sequence of nice short passing by launching one up to Graham and losing possession. You can’t really use stats too determine if we are a “long ball team” it’s something you can make your own judgement about by watching the games, for me personally we rely heavily on long balls to DG to either flick on or hold up.. We are a very direct side, which at times can be effective. But when you’re not getting results playing that way it makes it worse!
  9. I think Mowbray does the same, only focuses on the attacking side of things, as our defence is shit..
  10. Come on big dog just admit your Irish bias... You defend Julie Andrews ffs!
  11. It is possibly the most damning part of his reign here, like I said I like Mowbray but that signing is just mystifying... If that 7 million could have gone on a left back and a centre half who knows where we’d be in the league.
  12. You don’t think Sparky would drop down a league? There’s no chance his next job will be with a premier league club. His stature/reputation in the game is at an all time low after the way things finished at Stoke and his poor spell at Southampton.. Me personally I like Mowbray but Bowen and Hughes would be a huge improvement on Venus and Mowbray. Not that it would ever happen.. Until the time comes where we should be looking elsewhere I think we should show Mowbray a bit more respect after what has been a good spell for him here overall, if this form continues then that thought could soon change but for now he should be given a chance to turn it around without some calling for his head.. He’s a top man who I honestly feel cares about the club and us supporters, at least give the bloke a chance to turn it around. We’ve nothing to play for now this season, changing the manager at this stage would be pointless. Review it at the end of the season... Four defeats on the bounce is awful form, but if you look at the league table in isolation. We’d have all taken being in the position we are now games played and points wise before the season commenced..
  13. Well this season is over so we may as well get him started on the weights and the protein shakes now
  14. I know I’ve been saying our season is over but Jesus. Out thought, out fought, out worked, out played. An awful first half that..
  15. Amazes me how someone who a lot of the time is so negative about the team and the manager can come out with comments like this, cheers for that Mercer it’s 100% going too be an away win now.. If you need any counselling for the gambling, I can put you in touch with someone. It has too come from you though, admitting in yourself you have a problem is the first step too recovery. One love Mercer x
  16. Let’s just say if Bell and Williams were released tomorrow and were free agents, they’d be lucky too be picked up by league one clubs never mind championship clubs. That’s the reality of our left back situation... On tomorrow’s game, bit of a nothing game for us but for Boro it’s one they need too win.. That being said, we’ll probably end up scraping a 1-0 win.
  17. What a signing Onel Hernández has been for Norwich from the Bundesliga 2. Everytime I’ve seen him play he looks a real player, doubt he’d have cost too much either.
  18. Too be fair we could have been 2 or 3 up there the other night if we could finish our chances. 2 goals for Madine. If they go up in the auto’s it could be down to bringing him in, in January. Take a bit of the pressure off sharp. Difference maker.. We needed someone to take the pressure off DG and didn’t get anyone, who knows what difference that could have made to our season which is now dead in the water.
  19. Been saying for a while the lad needs to put some size on. Way too lightweight, he showed the odd flash of ability last night for the first time ever, but I couldn’t help but laugh at one point when he picked the ball up on the edge of the box and the Reading centre half smashed him to the floor with minimal effort. He needs to get himself in the gym big time
  20. Haha too be fair we all thought he had potential after he gradually got more game time last season and at the start of this season, last summer nobody said we needed a new left back as we all thought Bell and Williams were good options.. How wrong we were!! His recruitment has been questionable that’s undeniable but like i’ve said before, come back too me when this summers transfer window is done.. I pray too god he proves us all wrong and brings some players in who will genuinely improve the team and help us kick on.
  21. With Bell/Williams at left back we are basically playing with 3 at the back. No wonder we concede a shit tonne of goals..
