  1. I’d take Vaulks. Definite upgrade on them two, and if they’d take Smallwood back as part of the deal then even better. I’ve also always been a fan of Jon Taylor for them too, small pacey tricky winger in the Chapman mould. Again wouldn’t be too costly.... John Marquis has been mentioned on here a few times, the Doncaster striker. He’s scored a lot of goals for them over the last few years, can play the Graham role well too so I wouldn’t mind him. The only position I’m struggling too find a good option is left back, it’s a position we need to strengthen for sure. Bell is poor defensively and shits himself whenever he crosses the half way line.. The thing is if we had a Farke or a Wagner in charge, they’d bring in some German unknown who would turn out too be unreal. Big summer ahead for TM..
  2. Think of all the fine red wine you could have bought if you’d have gone for all them three too go down at the start of the season @Mercer ?... Don’t think I’ve done too bad there. If only I was a bit more of a gambling man
  3. Rotherham 1 up against Villa who are down too 10 men.. Said it earlier in the season, if Paul Warne keeps them up that will be a monumental achievement. Manager of the year if he does.
  4. I’d rather have Bennett and Williams than Young and Smalling! Can’t believe United give them two new contracts.
  5. I’m by no means Armstrong’s biggest fan but surely his pace would cause 38 year old Ashley Cole some problems? Can we not just end the season now please?
  6. Warnock Wagner and Farke didn’t do much in their first seasons in this league with Cardiff Huddersfield and Norwich.. Well Farke and Norwich finished 12th which I suppose would be harsh too be critical of... But Mowbray must surely know expectations will be higher next season, most of us would have taken survival at the start of the season and although 4 points from 30 is an absolute joke, if he goes about the transfer window in the right way this summer and gives the squad the overhaul it needs, I think those who either want him gone now or are doubtful about his position here will give him the benefit of the doubt and get behind him and hopefully a new look squad at the start of next season.. I don’t want him gone but i’d say I’m definitely a part of the “doubters” camp with our recent form and everything else, I’m holding back on any judgment until the start of next season and the end of the transfer window. There’s not even the slightest murmurings of his job being under threat so as much some of you want him gone, it won’t happen anytime soon. This thread and suggesting new managers is pointless and a bit disrespectful too Mowbray really as the guy is still in a job here, and I truly believe he will want too get it right this summer and next season.. If any of Williams Smallwood Conway or Bennett are in the starting lineup for the first game next season then we can re-open this thread ? but until then, we should back him and also pray that we have a good summer window and get some of that optimism back we all had from the end of last season up too January of this year going in too next season.
  7. If we lost every game until the end of the season we’d stay up. Rotherham ain’t winning 4 games from 7. The seasons done, in an ideal world we’ll win a couple before the seasons done but as it stands we are going into next season on a horrible run of form. Huge overhaul needed this summer and we should be planning that right now.
  8. Well, I think we all expected a lot worse! They are a good side Villa, they have some quality players at this level. They were the better side but I don’t think we disgraced ourselves today, compared to some of our recent away showings this was a step in the right direction. That’s not saying much though.
  9. I get the club doesn’t help itself at times and if every other club has them on sale then it’s odd we don’t but I honestly think if the club had have come out with some amazing early bird offer it wouldn’t result in a noticeable rise in season ticket sales.. We have lost nearly 10 thousand fans thanks too these clowns and the time too “‘maximise” sales is long gone, no matter what the prices a hell of a lot of our fans have found better things to do on a Saturday and have fell out of love with the club, they might attend the odd game but they aren’t going too commit to a full season no matter the price.. The lad I grew up watching the games at Ewood with up until around 2013 now goes too watch bloody Salford City with his grandad! He’s called Judas in my phone now but he like so many of our fans have fell out of love with the club and would never commit to a full season at Ewood anymore. These twats have ruined our club forever.
  10. Whether the season tickets go on sale today or in a couple of months what difference will it make? It will be the same 10k of us it’s been for the last 6 years so what’s the issue?
  11. Absolutely, if you think our attendances would sky rocket on a sustained basis should Venkys leave then you’re wrong. We have lost a good few thousand fans forever thanks to these c***s and that’s why we should never forgive them. #VenkysOut
  12. Graham Dack Travis Nyambe and Lenihan can stay as well as the U23 lads (including Chapman in that). If any of the rest were too leave I wouldn’t care as long as they were replaced, that shows the lack of quality we have in the squad! I’d keep Reed but I don’t think we have much say in that. Huge job this summer for Mowbray if he wants too keep his own job long term...
  13. Whatever you think about his limitations as a player this is utterly shameful, how embarrassing for the club and us as fans that something like this has happened.. I hope those at Hillsbrough tomorrow give him the biggest cheer of the day and sing his name. Disgusting behaviour I hope the fan is banned for life
  14. Magloire played well the other night but one area he looked weak was aerially. Wouldn’t be counting on him in the air on Saturday against that big donkey, i’d back him in a sprint against Fletcher and Nuihu all day though!
  15. With our current lack of aerial presence at the back I fear that big 6 foot 8 lump Nuihu is going too have a field day for them. Really tough game this and one I expect us too come up short. I’d snap your hand off for a point.
  16. I was more referring too the players we had in the starting lineup last night. I don’t think many other teams would have 4 academy graduates in their starting line up. Nice too see ??
  17. Now we can safely say we are staying up and we aren’t going up either, I’d like too see Rothwell get a good run in the team from now till the end of the season, Brereton and Chapman too... Raya Nyambe Travis and Magloire all products of our academy, don’t think too many other championship sides will be starting four academy graduates in there teams. The future could be bright for us, we certainly have a lot of potential in our team let’s just hope the lads fulfill it.
  18. Switching Conway from left back too right back was the right move he seemed a lot more comfortable there with Nyambe in behind him.. Started the second half slow but as it progressed we took control and could have got more than three in the end.. We looked very shaky and nervy with long balls over the top but it’s too be expected with no aerial presence at the back, fair play though the defence worked very hard. Magloire threw himself about and he can be proud of himself after a clean sheet and 3 points on his debut. I hope he’s buzzing with that, good on him... From where I was sat Powell didn’t look happy with Cook for bringing him off.. Pressure time for the dingle, I hope they go down after giving it the big one last season. They’ve got some tough fixtures too come... Feels great too actually win a game of football again, three points was a must tonight and we delivered. Tough game Saturday at an in form Wednesday. You blues
  19. He missed a header and it looked like they might sneak in but Raya got there to clean it up, but he was involved in the penalty decision, has thrown himself in front of shots and has made some good tackles. Joy too watch compared too what Mulgrew and Rodwell have been serving up recently. Fair play too the kid.
  20. Need to get Dack running at them, he looks up for it tonight. With both there centre halves being booked also, Armstrong’s pace should be causing Olsson problems. Get at them lads, take some pressure off our defence.
  21. Reed has been pretty sloppy too. I can’t see us keeping a clean sheet, and i’d be surprised if Conway doesn’t get sent off. Think TM will have too do the right thing and bring him off, embarrassing for Conway but we’re nervy enough at the back without going down too 10 men!
  22. Scrappy uneventful half, 1-0 though so who cares.. Makeshift defence looks very nervy when Wigan attack, Magloire has played well fair play too the lad... Conway is a liability at left wing back, Massey has the beating of him Everytime. He’ll need too be careful on a booking, think he could be the sub who gets subbed later on.
  23. Of course we need a win too end this horrendous run but I was just making the point that were we too win tonight it wouldn’t make a great difference too Mowbrays current standing with some fans and I do understand that. I really hope we can end this run and finish the season well, nobody wants too be that side that starts the season well and then ends it horrendously and takes that form into next season... We need too rediscover our fight and our team spirit which has been abundant for the last year or so, it’s all gone a bit flat at the minute which is a worry regarding the manager.. Has he lost the dressing room since he’s started too call players out in public? The only way we stop these questions is by winning tonight and then following it up in the next few games. Come on Rovers don’t have me freezing my bollocks off tonight for nothing..
