It was clearly being run like an absolute shit show - as anyone with a functioning brain would've predicted - until Broughton was head hunted by this mysterious agency. Yes it's a positive outcome but what happens if JDT bails in 6 months? We'd have to hope Broughton hadn't also fucked off and that he genuinely does have the owners ears. Given the last 12 years I don't see how you couldn't be wary and that's not being negative that's being realistic.

I think if we finish above Boro we'll be promoted. Expecting a mid table stability type season and to hopefully push on the season after.. If JDT doesn't realise that our owners don't give a shit and bail on us that is! Though I'm hoping Broughton's direct line into them should help on that front.

Very hard to gauge if it's a good appointment or not based on JDT's history. Overall though I feel it could have been a lot worse - Grayson, Woodgate, Cocu etc Still feel we'll never get back where we want to with the owners and their set up but I would file this appointment (when confirmed) under 'pleasantly surprised'.. Let's see where we are in 6 months.
