  1. Some questions; What qualifies as "better results"? As billionaire's you'd hope they have some grasp that some investments take longer to get a return on/make profit than others. You don't think we will see another big money buy for the future because of Brereton - what was Gallagher? I've read lots of opinions that Brereton was somewhat forced on TM by the fat one with the pony tail yet you're claiming they weren't fond of that deal. How do you know this?
  2. Can you clarify exactly what Venkys have said to TM about Brereton? These clowns have no idea about what a good footballer looks like, so I find it a bit of stretch that they've given TM "flak" for a young lad that's not been given much a chance to shine as yet.
  3. Agreed, lot's of ifs and buts from both of us. Perhaps it's worth seeing how he gets on first before making a judgement. If we're six games in and he's clearly no upgrade on Raya then TM has a lot to answer for.
  4. Unless of course the replacement is an improvement and we end up in the play-offs. If budget would be better spent elsewhere there's no problem with this approach.
  5. Madame is too busy plucking to sign it off
  6. Are you on Love Island??? This would explain a few things ?
  7. Fair. I also have a feeling it's Carson rather than Hart. Happy with either
  8. Sounds like the keeper could be coming in today or tomorrow, any ITK'ers know who it is?
  9. Good that he blocked any move for Travis though
  10. Agreed. Hard to stay patient and even though there is plenty of time left I worry TM hasn't got a plan outside of "wait till the last minute and hope clubs drop their pants" and we'll be scrabbling around in the last 24hrs ending up with players that we either don't need and/or aren't good enough.
  11. Not a chance Mowbray would let his fav leave
  12. He's the worst. They're all in each others pockets journos like him and the agents.
  13. So he's clearly the fall guy for that shocking run in Feb/Mar, and actually our goals against column for the whole season. I really hope getting in a keeper that commands the back line more effectively and has more confidence dealing with crosses will help improve our defence as that looks like where TM is placing his bets. Hope it comes off because its a big call. Hoping even more we get a brute of a CB in as well and Mowbray's chat in the media about not worrying about the defence is just smoke and mirrors.
  14. The guy has said B&rnley is a "utopia" to make his point, I'm not sure how that is acceptable.
  15. I've lived all over South London, I've even ventured into Peckham, nowhere is as appalling as Burnley. OK champ.. you also thought "pal" was abusive.
  16. You work in Burnley. Fair enough. What would you be happy paying?
  17. A week in South London and you'd be a dribbling mess if you find "pal" ignorant and abusive Stats would suggest he's a decent keeper and you really think £4m is over priced in today's market?
  18. Unfortunately it's never that simple, though I admire the sentiment.
  19. Welcome Bradley, feed Sir Bradley and we'll be on to something
  20. Nailed it. Setup is completely wrong. If we do it'll be by sheer luck rather than proper planning. If I only could inherit Daddy's chicken business and waste £m's on a pet project with no care how it effects 1'000s of people's lives. Pr8cks.
  21. I like that you're moaning about the moaning, brilliantly sardonic. It does indeed look like Raya is getting the blame for last season's woes at the back, we should've known that really given the fact he was dropped for the last four games. Who’s not to say that Williams improvement towards the end of the season was more to do with having Leutiwiler in goal as well as his move into the middle. Like you I think Raya is very replaceable, however we're desperately in need to a commanding centre half as well in my opinion, I wouldn’t be confident of getting anywhere near the top 6 with Mulgrew and Williams being the two to choose from partnering Darragh every week.
  22. It's becoming clear that this is Mowbray's way of thinking. Not sure if I'm on board with it or not in truth. Saying that I actually wouldn't be too upset if Raya left and we got a more commanding keeper in to replace him. He's a great shot stopper but I don't think he inspires confidence from his defence.
