The State of Ewood Park!
PeteJD13 replied to A Northern Horde...'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
this is so true, yet you go onto the facebook groups and any post saying what's happened today is a disgrace is pilled open by the same usual suspects. The ones who won't here any criticism against Mowbray or the tea,, but they'll happily slag Gallagher and bell off every week. What's happened today is a shambles and shows the lack of care and attention paid to club infrastructure -

The same Mowbray who failed to get the chesterfield job a few weeks before the rovers job came up -
Looks like Bury FC are on the way back original Bury not the phoenix rubbish https://www.burytimes.co.uk/news/19010956.businessman-hopes-bury-fc-takeover-near-completion/?ref=fbshr&fbclid=IwAR2ik-wqvAkBEqZcW-sAZArDIbhO18ddeLZDL_8lor7qSJ-fdD10BwvR25s

I was told a while ago by someone with club connections who said we could go down and Mowbray would be safe, the owners like him. Interesting that on the under cosh podcast Luke Steele mentions how dour mowbray was. I dont think he'll get sacked regardless of how badly we perform i'm starting to feel really apathetic todays game was an easy miss. More chance of platting fog than Mowbray being sacked or leaving he'll be here for another 2/3 years

They have had 10 years to run the club properly and haven't as and when Steve leaves or retires, whose to say someone else better will fill the role or will it be added to Suhails brief either way we aren't going to get a dynamic appointment -
Anyone stream the commentary via ifollow on the EFL app? the coverage drops every 5/10 mins or if my iphone locks the old app never had this issue

We are losing 150k a week playing behind closed doors and whats more alarming is we are on the lowest in terms of money, Cardiff city 394k a week https://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/staggering-cost-watford-playing-behind-4536322

well he chose to extend smallwood and few others who never played during the pandemic...........
-
The key words in there are may be, not that i see it happening any sooner it will be driven by economics
-
its not so much a second wave they are still on the first wave, over 5.65 million cases so with no income for the club they will have to put more money in than normal on this i cannot blame them for not spending. Maybe Tony should have thought about money when he was dishing out extra contracts to smallwood and co
-
Its why i think we will be back in stadiums sooner than you think, at least in small numbers the government will not want to pick up the huge tab for sports across the board collapsing, what puzzles me is PL clubs will get a bail out but spending continues at a huge level. Its far more serious for us and EFL clubs that need the ticket income
-
its about supporting the club financially same as every club thats flogged tickets
-
Brereton was 100 percent Mowbrays signing had that confirmed by someone very close to the club

Taking the ST issues to one side we aren't really in a proper lockdown, eg you can go out for exercise once a day or for food, thats really what is needed but they cannot risk trashing the economy further so its a half baked option which doesn't work. This is before you see how many people are being influenced by celebs/influencers who are railing against the advice. Its a mess the club cannot be blamed failing to prepare for this, what they can be blamed for is the response we know its tough so lets put prices up, the tone is all wrong times like these aggressive guilt tripping isn't going to work when at the most extreme case going to football could make you ill.
