  1. Well after yesterday, I’m going to burn my season ticket. I won’t be stepping foot in the ground ever again, how dare the manager whose turned us around in 12 months, signed some quality players and reinstated some pride in the club and town chose an 11 that didn’t win. “Two” many times this year for me. Its an absolute disgrace that the actual professionals involved in making these decisions have the hard face to think they know better than me and the rest of the fans. Ofcourse Travis is a full back, how dare he be played anywhere else. It’s been the same with Bennett all season, the lads wasted in the centre.. I think it’s a huge two fingers up to all those fans who’ve travelled the country to see us win a record number of away games. They obviously deserve more... Finally, I expect Paul Cook to be sacked imminently, for having the audacity of dropping points at home to AFC Wimbledon. Both Wigan and Rovers fans should have a joint protest for not scoring 100+ points in a season. It’s about time we got our clubs back. Off to write a sternly written complaint to the EFL in the hope I can achieve a points deduction so we get what we deserve. Ciao.
  2. Because he is real leader on the pitch, and it takes ignorance to miss that. Gritty challenges, that saw his only brief dip in form (on the yellow ban), works his absolute nuts off and isn’t too bad with the ball, offers a lot more than Evans in that area for me. Is it possible that a player can improve from 12 months ago, or work better in a different tactic, setup or with different team mates? The video of the entire team and staff singing King of Ewood in the dressing room at full time tells you everything you need to know about the contributions made by Richie!
  3. I do find it a tad ironic that the two in the song are both perm’s!
  4. Tony had a dream, to build a football team, he had no money so he signed some players on loan Mulgrew at the back, and Dack in attack, were Blackburn Rovers, were on our way back. Think that’s it!
  5. I think his was more, whip the shirt off and flex.. I might have mixed up two memories because you’re correct in that Ginola played for Villa and was called fat by his manager.
  6. Looked to me like the classic “what did you call me, fat?”.... who was the 90’s player who did something similar? For Villa or Newcastle... might be imaginary..
  7. Sorry if this has already been said but any one noticed that Ben Marshall is at Milwall and scoring/laying on goals for fun? Admittedly, only seen highlights but looks a player with confidence for a change. Always felt he had all the technical ability, but never had his head up! Good luck to him anyway.
  8. We’ve been spoilt rotten over the years talent but Tugay was quite something else. I think Charlie might be one of those who just keeps going the same way, and he’s only 31... Tugay only signed for us at 31, didn’t he?
  9. I don’t think we’ll ever see a defender score so many again, let alone anyone score 7(ish?) direct free kicks in a season. Sir Charles of Mulgrewshire is already hitting iconic levels, not quite the legend of the Turk.
  10. Probably a fraction of the wages we are still paying Dixon Etuhu et al?
  11. You gather wrongly. There may be an absolute minority of fans who lack the common sense, or some with questionable motives for their opinions but to suggest a large slice would be “for” melting jacks statue is just troublemaking. Now I know you didn’t say that, but you did suggest all those who questioned Keans appointment met criticism from fans who didn’t, is equally baffling to me. It’s absolute nonsense to think the majority supported SK and his appointment. From day one of his tenure *most Rovers fans knew the likely and eventual outcome. So please, I know most of us are angry and disillusioned but would it be at all possible to refrain from pointing fingers at each other?
  12. Come on lads, you both know it’s never been and never will be as simple as support vs boycott, ergo pro Rao vs against Rao.
  13. Is this your flag Len? If so, I was stood behind you first half on Saturday
  14. From my perspective, he's looked and performed well because he's been utilised in a way that suits his ability at the current time.
  15. Agree, I was thinking something along these lines when I said Dack could be preferred on the basis he's a permanent signing. Id prefer Bennett also, especially away from the start, he is probably one of the more consistent players so far, along with Smallwood, Evans, Mulgrew et al. He knows how to do both sides of the game and he works hard. We need that work rate. Would need to be promoted this season though, for HC to become available to us on a permenant (plus hope Boro go up). On that basis, it's another reason to understand why this isn't such a simple decision, despite some fans insistence in him starting.
  16. If it works, it works. I think if you look at tonight - we created umpteen chances to score the second goal and fluffed the chances. Could HC on from the start suffered a similar issue to Samuel tonight, hit post 3 times? When you've got a player you know can change a game, it creates a solid plan B. I guess the argument at the minute is should he be plan A? I personally can understand that, but then who is plan B? Bennett isn't the type, for me to do that but will be guaranteed to work his absolute nuts off from start to finish in any position he plays.
  17. Strange, I thought he made good changes tbh. I'm not privy to training, but dropping Dack after he performed well on Saturday would've been an appalling decision in my opinion!
  18. I'm not sure it'll be regular lethal counter attacks, that'll be our undoing. I think it'll be mistakes through inexperience, lapses in concentration and all around low work rate.
  19. How many games has he come off the bench and changed the points total? Obviously Shrewsbury is +1. I agree with much of what you've said, apart from some of the last part. Certainly agree about teams nicking a goal on the counter early, and then flooding their half. Thing is though, you miss the part that says; more attacking, less likely to track back = more chance of being countered. It works both ways. 19, can't be relied to come on a change a game... but can be relied on to start? That doesn't make sense. I do think the lad could work as a 10 though, but I'd expect Dack to get the nod in that role.
